ive got the tobeco veritas from solid vape. its fucking awesome!
i first built it with dual vertical 1/16" ID 28g kanthal microcoils for 0.7Ω total. didnt like that build at all, which is weird because i normally love dual 28g micros. but i normally build them horizontally so maybe that vertical played a factor. or maybe one of my coils was a wrap more than the other, idk.
what i do know is that my current build is bananas. 8-wrap 26g kanthal single coil, i want to say that its 3mm ID but honestly i forget. its 0.8Ω and hits smashingly- better than the dual coil setup did.
i slanted the coil so its not a true vertical nor is it horizontal. its at maybe a 60 degree angle. i did it this way because my top lead was kinda long and was getting a hot leg. and with the top lead slanted over to the side, i could drape my top-half of the wick over it, keeping it cool. the end tails off along the left v-shaped wall and the juice keeps it in place. (i'll post photos later if anyone wants)
the other end of the wick dips into the juice well, extending a few mm across the floor of the deck. this puppy vapes 100% dry before needing to be re-dripped. and being that it holds about a ml of juice, i dont need to drip often. and it doesnt leak one iota. very pocket-friendly.
the flavor is off the charts, like mentioned above. it actually gave me a boost of confidence in my DIY juice- its never tasted better! i feel like a supreme mixologist, even though i am not.
one thing to note about the tobeco veritas is that its factory o-rings are too big. it actually made me kinda hate the atomizer at first because it was nearly impossible to get the cap off an on. but now that i put on new o-rings, its gotta be my favorite atomizer to date. gives my origen a fucking run for its money, i tell you what.
very highly recommended atomizer.
