That’s so crazy, but I’m afraid we’re going to witness a lot more greed like this before we come out the other end of this corona thing.
All we can do is to act in ways that feels right to us. We can’t control other people, only ourselves. At least you’ve got friends here who understand what you’re going through and how you feel. Stay safe, you hear?:hug:

Yeah I know I'm not the only one going thru the struggle of finding necessary daily supplies.
I gladly take what I can find without being greedy.
And I'm always safe.
You stay safe!

Damn lawyers.

Gojo Industries, Inc. was hit with a class action lawsuit last Friday in Ohio. The Purell manufacturer is being sued for 'misleading claims' about how effective the hand sanitizer actually is.

A Canadian doctor has rigged up a ventilator with do-it-yourself mechanics to treat nine patients instead of one. Dr Alain Gauthier, an anesthetist at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital in Ontario, has a PhD in respiratory mechanics According to CBC News, the physician got the idea after watching YouTube videos created by two Detroit doctors in 2006.

Mar a Leggo shut down.

Not sure the pres can get federal aid since he did not divest his businesses like virtually all other presidents have to prevent conflict of interest.

I heard a little bit ago that Italy now has had more COVID fatalities than China.

Italy has about 60 million in population. China has almost 1.4 BILLION.

China stopped people from running around spreading it early.
Italy kept their thumbs up their butts too long and so have we.

I guess the Chinese are more accustomed to doing what they are told.

I still can't get it out of my mind the photo I saw the other day of the beach at Daytona. Wtf is going to happen when all those kids go home?

Here's Clearwater Beach this past Tuesday:

You might notice, too, that some of the people in that pic are NOT kids! So it isn't just the kids that are blind, deaf, and dumb; it's a thorough cross-section of humanity.

President Donald Trump told reporters there was not a wide-spread shortage of coronavirus tests in the US. Later in the White House briefing, top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci said in reality the US is behind on testing capabilities because many Americans don't have easy access to tests.

Where are the drive thru tests at Wal Mart, CVS and Target?

and google was making a Corona virus site was pure vaporware.

Here's information on corona virus for WV supplied by CDC. Surprisingly the information seems straight forwardly factual and not alarmist. Yes, they emphasize this is nasty illness. It seems to be from the few cases I've read about from those having survived it.

That aside I trust CDC about as far as I could throw them. Consider they flat out lied about vaping recently. Also consider the CDC is part of the same government what lies to the American people. If you look into some stuff on your own you can find the proof, I'm not going to exhaust myself or others here listing the lies.

Still it is better having some information and most oddly place faith in the government. I think @f1r3b1rd has posted some links to good information as well. A good portion of them lend to slating the myth of this being a pandemic level crisis. Sure WHO is going to call it that, how else do they profit? And don't be fooled they do profit and profit is one of the key motives why they exist.

Without profit capitalism does not exist. Without capitalism no socialism, no communism. Socialism and communism are both antithesis of capitalism. Without capitalism they have nothing to be "against" or the "opposite" of, and will vanish. The end product has always been fully autonomous people. Let's open that open door.

There seems to be more articles now about the possibility of this being serious, but not as serious as it’s presented, by people who are doctors or scientists.

I’m not sure what to think, but I agree that the CDC has lied outright about vaping (using fake science no less) so my faith in them is not so great.

How ya doing, brother? Stay safe in mutant WV.:heart:

Of course, both the CDC and the FDA are full of shit. Just as I stated before, 'how many of them have their hands in the cookie jar?'.

I'm not saying that's disregard the advice given - to stay home of you're sick, to keep your distance from those that seem sick, and to avoid unnecessary trips unless you have to.

But what I am saying is that for the most part, no need to take everything they're saying to the T. Up to and including their 'DOOMSDAY' theories about some flu-like disease killing more people than EVERY WAR the world has seen... Ever... In it's existence.

I'm also saying, if you've been around someone that's been sick, stay home and away from elderly. I know, "But they're gonna die anyways..." Those that say that kind of shit, really do make me sick to my stomach.

And all of this is coming from me, someone that would rather 'crawl in before I call in'. I've always been this way, but yeah... If I can prevent others from losing time and money at work, I'll do that.

Either way... Corona, SARS-CoV2, Wuhan virus, kung-flu, whatever the fuck people want to call it... will pass, we'll get back to business, and laugh about the great butt ticket shortage of the 'roarin' twenties.

I’m noticing some gleeful attitude towards the pandemic idea from preppers, which is really not appreciated. Like there’s so many infected now and so many dead, so we can predict this many more infections and deaths to occur. Blah blah blah.

The fact that society is basically being dismantled everywhere is depressing, especially because of the financial consequences.

I wouldn’t have been worried by this if I hadn’t caught some kind of flu in November. That was the worst I’ve been sick in years, and it went away and came back two more times since then. It was very scary! So I was more inclined to believe all the news. Not that I thought it was corona, but it was a damn scary flu strain!

The fact that society is basically being dismantled everywhere is depressing, especially because of the financial consequences.

Well, actually a few very wise people long ago played out the simulation of all that's happening now. They did so because they were considering means to run society. They were something of what we'd call philosophers today. Their notions of how to keep society going was not intended as a "HOWTO" for ruling society, rather just as how to keep it all functioning. They saw that any kind of "financial" system, ownership of "private property" would fail.

Fast forward some years into more present times and you find Jacque Fresco, who said much the same. He points to a resource based economy where no one owns anything but everyone owns everything. All the resources belong to all of us. We need to share and share alike. The universe/s is/are infinite and will continue providing for us, but we need to use the wisdom of sharing, the Golden Rule.

There's also some who propose meritocracy. This kind of system would award say 10% more access to the "best" of us. That "best of us" is decided by a group of 13 elders. Everything is run by such a jury, villages, towns use a 13 member jury to decided contractual based policies, rules, guidelines. Each area has its own "tribal" law and governance and that is respected.

My point is that it has been known for a long time our current system would fail. And I'm not only talking about America, Russia, any nation. There's a common adage you likely have heard, "all empires to time fall". Even the seemingly "better" ideas anyone presents will fall too. It stems from us as human beings. We're subjective animals and this is our imperfection as much as our perfection.

So Mothman is from your neck of the woods? Wow. Why should I be surprised?:

Yep. Mothman started about a 45 minute drive away from us. You're welcome. :) Nobody is exactly sure what Mothman is/was. There's theories saying it's a mutated heron or stork, some kind of bird like that. Also theories saying he's some kind of alien, a left over prehistoric race, figments of imaginations, drunk babbling.

Well, it was pretty neat that he was around before that bridge fell. But animals could prolly feel the “wrongness” in the earth itself. I mean whatever caused it to fail/collapse.

So Ummmmm I have a sore throat since March 8....
Called in sick 4 12 hour shifts....
Manager called me.....
Hey ED, are you ok, what’s going on?!
Me: I have a sore throat, headaches, body aches
Boss: you need to call occupational health, request to be tested for the covid-19
Me: hello I have these symptoms, can I be tested?!
Occupational RN: do you have a fever
Me:NO
Occupational RN: YOU DONT MEET CRITERIA, go get a NOTE from pcp that you’re 100% ok to go back to work....
Me: that’s not easy to get, especially right now
Occupational RN: well you can’t go back to work until you have that note!
Me:OK BITCH

So I emailed my pcp about the note, I haven’t heard back from them yesterday and today?!

My manager at work sent a general EMAIL TODAY!

IF YOU HAVE A FEVER STAY HOME!
IF YOU HAVE MINOR SYMPTOMS?

“WEAR MASK AND COME TO WORK”

WTF! THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY’RE DOING!

I don’t own guns, but don’t fuck with me

Damn. There goes my fun for the day. Sincerely, I would not fuck with you in any negative way.

Now, you being a friend, you better believe I'll fuck with you as a friend. Better watch your shoes aren't tied together, or maybe Vaseline on a doorknob, goof ball stuff like that. Oh and I'm a pun making type, or a thinking type of joker. But even then, I know there's limits and try to not "push" them too far.

If you got some Crazy Glue, don't worry, you don't need guns. You can add that to rubber cement, flake off some aluminum, rust into it and you got applicable thermite resin. Oops, am I tossing out po boy's revolutionary cookbooks? Nah, I'd not do that, ... or would I? I mean hey it is available to look up via a search engine anyway.

IF YOU HAVE A FEVER STAY HOME!
IF YOU HAVE MINOR SYMPTOMS?
“WEAR MASK AND COME TO WORK”

Reply to your boss's email with a link to this and quote the below.

Emphasize staying home when sick, respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene by all employees:

It does not specifically say you need to have corona virus, just that you're sick. And no I'm not saying you "goldbrick". I'm saying take care of you so you can take care of others.

Angry locals tell tourists to GO HOME as sunbathers ignore coronavirus warnings and duck under police tape on Hawaii beaches

Stupit humans.
imho it is stupid to fly right now unless absolutely necessary and vacation does not fit that criteria.

I could not tell you any more "bad actors" at this point. Had some intuition and speculation on a few then. Boeing was one of those. One I think you'll see one that may seem that way but then surprise people is Lockheed. People at times paint defense types as "bad actors" for their moral issues over war. Lockheed also does stuff beyond war that many lack knowledge about.

I'm also kind of saying about the same is/will happen in society. Those in power who are "bad actors" already feel power being tugged away from them. Power itself does not make them "bad actors". That is left to their own choices. And they keep choosing revolutions. This means it's all a cycle, a circle. Where we are today will be where are two hundred years later. Look two hundred years back, you can see us there too.

Until the "People" all rise up, even only 33% of them, we'll not evolve. We'll keep getting revolutions instead. If we evolve we go forward, we go higher, we chase our aspirations, we can be divine. Humanity on the whole needs to mature. It won't do that if we just keep "spinning our wheels".

Naah I am stuck stuck here for the duration. Until right before the big rock hits. And no humans are allowed off planet. Do not want to contaminate the universe after all. Nothing personal just a species thing.
I do wonder thought if there will be a toilet paper buying thing when they hear the big rock is going to hit?

I went after Boeing just as they had to get a loan to pay suppliers...a payday loan. They wasted so much money trying to buy friends via stock buy back programs.. Then the fired the CEO..and replaced him with a BOD member...uh...so you gonna replace a bad CEO with 1 of the guys who approved of your actions? Furthermore the company would be priced on the otc market in a fair value setting.. Analyst where pumping this as a great value! Confirmation we were in the final stages of a 10 year bubble that was never fixed from 2008. Thanks to another mismanagement of banks..the markets starting fracturing.. Aaaahh blame it all on a virus.. Ignore the fact the bad debt bomb grew to 2xs 2008. The next decade likely a very painful one.. People will have to learn what is important. Boiled frogs never jump.

I hear you very clearly, hm 75, 50, 75, and the last one was 100 or so Trillion dollars the Federal Reserve has put out for "easement". So yeah right there's at least $200 Trillion dollars the U.S. is on the hook to pay to International Money Fund (House of Rothschild by way of Rockefeller/ J.P. Morgan(The Commodore)) but no one seems to give a damn. We'll never pay it back not even if interests were not applied, and you know usury will be there.

Excuse me. Ugh, wifey fur in the beard. Hm. *sighs, grumbles softly* Ah. okay. :)

I liked the "cure" for stupid in Last Man Standing starring Bruce Willis & Christopher Walkin.

There's scene prior to this one where Doyle says to Willis' character.

"You shot Finn, my best gun."

Willis's character says, "Finn was acting stupid."

Doyle says, "Only one cure for stupid."

Willis's character nods as he rests his hand on his holster. There's also a lot of foreshadowing of "when Hickey gets back, ..." during the first part of the movie. This scene itself is the start of the second act. The first act is the "fistful of trouble" used to draw the protagonist in, "Finn" in the movie starts causing John Smith problems. Hickey then is the "up the tree" problem, and then stuff starts going downhill with lots of trouble finding John Smith.

The movie has touches of Hammett's Red Harvest. I would suggest both made use of Butte, Montana's Anaconda Road massacre as something of a fictionalized backdrop. Red Harvest also follows Shakespeare's five act structure as it is written in a manner as to be adapted to a play. Hammett was a wonderful author to his credit.

Of course if one argues that Anaconda Road was an example of a backdrop, they could suggest the Battle Of Blair Mountain, WV as one also, or even the Whiskey Rebellion. It also follows suit of the story Shichinin no Samurai. All of these stories highlight the stupidity of corruption and the effects of it. They all also create the hope of a "hero" to end corruption.

Ultimately the hero lies within us all. We need to stop waiting on a hero and start being the hero. We do so by holding those with power to account. We accept something of a platitude Stan Lee penned in comic books. "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility." We need to "hang together" so none of us ever "walks alone". And we need to do so en masse, of our own volition without any "leader/s".

Help one another to help yourself. Stop fucking digging! We're already in a hole damn it! Let's not keep going in circles. I'm getting tired of coming back here. And I know it isn't because I'm stupid.

Fuck no, I've no Earthly inkling how narrative functions, none what so ever. I've no idea that narrative is using different bits of information to create a story or present an image. I also don't know that information is the gathering of data, which is pure facts, say for example 1 added to 1 equals 2. Facts create information, information creates narrative or used in its creation by someone with intention. Nope, not a damn clue how any of it works at all, not me.

I also do not play chess at all, not to be worthy of any ranking. Nope, not me. And I don't understand that American Football is akin to chess in how each player type is allowed certain moves only. Nope, not a damn clue. Nor do I understand how Army Rangers seem to adopt American Football as means to move units on the field, nope, not me again.

I cannot see any correlation/s at all to any of this, for any reason. No, not me. You got the wrong guy. I'm just a useless "meat popcicle". I'm not worth a fuck. No, not me. I'm just a dumb fuck Hillbilly what don't know his ass from a hole in the ground. I did poorly and was lucky to graduate high school, being honest. I was fucking bored. I met my wife and she proved to me college was not worth the extra expense. She explained it was all the same shit high school taught, rehashed over and over.

I know there is a point when college breaks and diverges to specialties. I don't want to waste four years learning nothing to get to that point. I'm there to learn further beyond what I've already learned, gee, that's why I thought college existed. No, it exists to get profit like most else, eh? Well there you go, figure you'll not see me in college. Life is a damn fine college of itself, hard knocks university is the finest. Add in being able to "grow up" and learn using the Internet and Web, you got a good sense of my self education.

But everyone knows, I'm dumber than a box of rocks. I'm duller than a box of crayons and not anywhere near as bright. My point is I ultimately have pull a DILLIGAF.

Like everyone does. It's our safety valve to continue without breaking down. Thinking in my case genuinely does hurt, physically. This is why I love landscaping, grounds work as something to do a lot of the times. You don't need to think too much, you just do. :) Farming, gardening are like that to a good point as well. Sure you kneed some basic knowledge and be able to exercise common sense to do these. Still you can stop thinking about all the evils in our world. You're also helping by maybe planting trees, maybe growing local fruit and veg to eat in season.
