I'm pretty sure we had a week of higher than that during the actual winter. Lannie keeps the stats book, so she'd have to tell you when and how much.
Oh, and I had to run into Faith today to get some cracked corn for the chickens, so I popped into the local grocery store. All shelves are full and there were no restrictions on how much you could buy, so it seems life has returned to normal here.
Not sure whats going on here, haven't been to any store this week.
I wouldn't pay a buck ninety eight for a condo. But then I am not an airline pilot who probably only sleeps there once a week.
She said she will be there a LOT, she just flies a small jet for a regional airline.
Maybe you should set up a remote camera. At 650 sq.ft. she's gonna have to go out on the balcony to change her clothes.

Weather stat keeper reporting in! Yes, in fact, we hit 73 a few weeks back, and have had several mid-60s days scattered here and there. The whole rest of this week is *supposed* to be in the 60s. Little rain on Thursday, but the guessers say no snow. Any bets on that?

Nope. It was 58 today and, other than this morning's fall (a couple 700-pound bales tried to crush me), it was a pretty nice day. But, believe it or not, I think next Tuesday is predicting snow showers.

No. I pulled a couple flakes to go over to the horse side, the last of one bale, and picked up the pallet to move it outside. I guess the tiny edge (less than an RCH - honest) of that pallet was supporting the next two bales, which decided to fall on me when I tugged the empty pallet out. The top bale hit me in the shoulder and threw me out the barn door. I tried to stop my fall with my hands (no such luck), landed on my right hip, and laid there for a minute trying to decide if I was dead or not. Lannie came busting out of the cow end to see what happened but couldn't get to me because the bales were totally blocking the doorway. I managed to get my ass off the ground and staggered back to the mess I just made. Don't know how, but I rolled the bottom bale back in place (adrenaline?) and the two of us picked up the pieces of the top bale and stuffed it sufficiently out of the way so we could get in and out of the door.
You know I am always complaining about my back pain (hey, it's broke, so that's justified), and occasionally my shoulders, and a few days ago, I was complaining about my right knee and ankle. Now I get to add my right hip and both wrists to that list. Maybe I should just get in bed and pretend I have this damn covid shit. Sigh...
JC...hope tomorrow is a better day.
Maybe I should take a hike in the mountains. Probably do less damage to myself than just routine chores around here.
