It was pre built. Big baby tank x4 quad coil its supposed to be at .15What kind of coil is it and what ohm is it supposed to be?
That is also what i was comming up with. Maybe its the mod smh0.17ohms at 40 watts should be around 15 amps

0.17 ohms on the Smok 0.15 coil isn't bad. Allow for 0.05 fluctuation in either direction on most mods, they're still safe. And depending on the number of batteries you use and the type of batteries you can build below 0.5 I was vaping a 0.09 ohm coil earlier today. It killed my batteries in a matter of hours though so I went back to my 0.23 coilIt was pre built. Big baby tank x4 quad coil its supposed to be at .15
There is alsso a dual coil that comes with it thats going to clock at .4 ohm. But as i sit and look over the battery laws. I will be bulding my own coils soon. The info on my mod just didnt look right also i know u shouldnt be trying to go below.5ohm at all i dont want to be near that
Thank u alot bro0.17 ohms on the Smok 0.15 coil isn't bad. Allow for 0.05 fluctuation in either direction on most mods, they're still safe. But 3 amps is really low for any sub ohm coil in my experience.

Thank uOhm's Law doesn't apply to regulated mods. Use Watt's Law.
I know it didnt make sense thats why i wantrd to ask it was confusing me lol. I think a poster got it right it does seem to flux. But to be as low as 3 amps worried me. When volts seem to stay at 2.5 running at 37w0.17 ohm and 3.2A doesn't make sense.
Maybe you got confused and you mean 0.17 ohm and 3.2V, that's around 60W
Yes an 220You should be fine with a regulated device. If the build is too low, it won't fire and usually will give you an error message like "atomizer too low". Curious what device you are using with the BBB tank? An Alien I presume?

This is why Ohms Law doesn't apply. The chip does the calculations, and the display just shows the output from it's DC/DC converter. Depending on your build, you will see, on the display, readings that make no sense if you're expecting to see Ohms Law in action.
The display shows what comes out of the chip. It can't show what goes in, and that's what you are looking for with Ohms Law. We just have to trust the chip to do it's job.
My point was that the numbers displayed on the screen won't correspond to Ohms Law. Lock the resistance and wattage on an Ohms Law calculator, and the voltage won't match what is displayed on the Alien's screen. The resistance and wattage are set on the screen and don't change, unless the user changes them. The voltage and amperage readings will change from puff to puff. Only the chip knows the volts and amps being pulled from the batts. It doesn't share that info via the display.that's not quite true. Ohms law does apply to what is displayed. It just doesn't apply to what amps are actually drawn from the batteries.
The amps drawn from the batteries do not depend on the resistance of the coil. It just depends on the watts you have the mod set to and the current voltage your batteries are outputting.
The display, however, shows the apparent voltage and amps based on the wattage setting and the coil resistance. I think nightshard had it right. Makes more sense if the OP mistook the displayed volts for amps.
wow ok sorry about that yes it def had me confused for a secOhm's Law says:

Ahhh thank you. I could have sworn uo and down it was
Alien says:

But if you just tap the fire bar, Alien says:

So, yeah, either Nightshard is right, or the OP just tapped the firebar and saw the oddness. I too found the display misleading at first. It should show actual batt voltage and amp draw from the batts, but it doesn't. More useful if it did.
I understand. I was the same way when I first got mine. I was like, "That's so cool!". And then, "That doesn't look right...". LOLwow ok sorry about that yes it def had me confused for a sec
Can i ask what tank u run with??I understand. I was the same way when I first got mine. I was like, "That's so cool!". And then, "That doesn't look right...". LOL
Now all I pay attention to is the watt/temp setting, the ohm reading, and the batt meter.
It varies. Baby with factory coils(but moving away from those), Baby rba, Cloud Beast rba, Aromamizer Supreme, and a DOGE3 rda. My wife uses a Kanger Subtank mini on hers. She finally got fed up with the kanger coils, and let me put a clapton in the rba. She tootle-puffs @28-30w.Can i ask what tank u run with??
Nice thats dope. I have a royal hunter rda on the way im betting into making coils now. I have the big baby on my alien and i love the tank. Also ran a clieto 120 the big baby kills itIt varies. I'm really getting into using TC and building my own SS coils. The Alien does a fair job on SS with the Cloud Beast, but my Hohmtech mods are way better.
