150w segelei melting coils

I have a sigelei 150w with a royal hunter rda im running a single coil 70watts with royal wire 20gague 8 wrap coil, im getting .6 ohms 5.4 volts, any ideas on the problem

Sounds to me like a wicking problem (coil not getting juiced up quick enough). What's the ID (inner diameter) of your coil? With a 22g my coil's ID is at least 3mm.

.6 ohms is reading 5.4 volts? o_O

Ahh, I gotcha.... I knew a .6 didn't read above 3.8-3.9 on mine. Got corn-fuzed....lol!

.6ohm seems pretty high for 20ga wire.
Ive used 20ga kanthal and 8wraps with a 3mm inside diameter has gotten me around .3ohm.
Sounds like your shorting out somewhere. You can glow your coils all day and they wont melt, they only melt when they touch the deck or a post.

I got it fixed I had a piece of wire I cut and got jammed under the coil it was against the deck I thinl that was my problem
Yep, thats a melting hazard. Glad you figured it out.
