hi ladies/gents

i was reading the latest figures from the economic living guidelines this morning. it produces a guideline every year that they call their safety net. This is written by a group of financial experts who evaluate if you are doing ok in your financial matters. These are their pointers to prove you are sustainable in your living.

1/ Save 20% of your before tax income.
2/ pay no more than 30% of your income on rent/morgage
3/ pay full amount of credit card each month
4/allow 5% of income on social outings and clothes
5/ never take out finance for a car
6/ensure you have a minimum of 3 months living costs in savings this includes food
power bills, clothing school costs fuel, rent etc.
7/use professional advice on your spending.
8/ only purchase what you need not what you want.
9/eat to sustain no treat eating.
aim to increase your savings by 2% in 6 months.

well ladies/gents, i reckon we should all find a convent/monastery, a horse, lots of candles ,enjoy free water or just end it.
what a load of crap! written by people earning a base salary of 6 figures with government cars, phones, fuel, and entertaining allowances. anyone want to go halves on a tent in the sahara desert of in the jungle?

i hope you enjoy your dry bread and keep a spare loin cloth.
