I put 2 batts in my charger, been an hour now. one is charging slower than the other, or one faster, idk. usually they charge the same.

is this a sign ?

oh, 2 bay charger. I flipped them. charging followed the batts.

What kind of charger are you using? I recommend a nitecore or efest luc series.

cheapo nitecore, but does the job. I took those batts out to let them rest(yeah, I know) and put in 2 others that are charging normally.

oh. I was using these to power my new VANDY VAPE TRIPPLE T. and I was hitting it kinda hard, for me anyway.
is there a chance that the closest batts got taxed more ?

oh. I don't mean the nitecore is junk/cheap. I mean it was inexpensive.

From my experience the faster the charge the less capacity retained. If you are seeing a reduction in the number of vapes delivered with the pair I would suspect the one that is charging faster as the one that has diminished capacity.

I do not count vapes. nor charge time, but it does take a good while = .5a. and only one time did I let a set go to red before charging them.

I put them back in the charger. 1 fully charged, the other looks about dead.

Assuming that 2 identical same age/use cells take different times to charge and assuming that the charge current is identical in both charger bays.
I would worry more about the one chat charged the fastest. It has the least capacity.
But as Lucy said in many dual cell mods one gets more drain than the others maybe the chipset or display just runs off of one cell?
In that case the faster charging one may have just been ran down less? And would therefore charge faster.

I had both of them in the charger about as long as it should have taken. so, one did not charge faster, the other does not charge.
I bought 4 of them at the same time/place. they are quality brand, LG I think.

LG makes all kinds of 18650's not all are suited for vaping.

If a cell will not charge,, that is a bad sign. Time to recycle.

LG IMR 2500mah 3.7v. got em from CENTRAL VAPOR about 6 weeks ago. till now, they have been fine.
I know batts don't last forever, but 6 weeks. oh-well, part of the game.
I am waiting for after CHRISTMAS sales(hopefully) to get 4 more batts, charger and other stuff.

I have had genuine LG HG2-s last over 3.5 years.
Same with Samsung 25R's.
If they only last 6 weeks then they are no good or the wrong battery for your vaping style,
Watch some of Battery Mooch's vids here and become battery literate.

My guess would be they sold you fakes - there are many, many, many fake rewraps on the market

Vendors get the fakes from wholesalers and are often not aware they are selling fakes as genuine

That is why you see vapers here recommending only a small handful of battery vendors

Mainly Illumn.com - Flashlights, Batteries, Carry Gear, Intelligent LED Lighting ...https://www.illumn.com/
And : Liion Wholesale Batteries | Li-ion battery/cell distributorhttps://liionwholesale.com/

I buy from Illumn and they are generally MUCH cheaper than the vape sites and I know I am getting genuine cells.

They are both good vendors and I've bought from both

I prefer illumn.com because it comes out cheaper when I buy in bulk

Mooch has some good info out there on spotting fakes - but some are very hard to tell

However, your best bet is to just buy from one of the two vendors I listed - they test everything and guarantee authenticity

They are usually cheaper than batteries on vape websites also

Another one to put on the list
https://www.18650batterystore.com/

I got this from Mooch when he notified us on his Patreon page that they had the Sanyo 20700A's in stock (best performing 20700's he's tested). I was very pleased with them.

It's as easy to learn how to use as a decent regulated mod and does a whole lot more useful stuff than just charge batteries which it also does really well.
