Best build for flavour on the subtank mini RBA?

Ive tried twisted, dual, thick thin etc, some taste better than others. I feel I definitely get better flavour the higher the ohms.
I had endless bother at the start amd have never been able to get the rba to work with high vg juice. Tastes good at the start but dry hits after a while. I tried many different coil setups and cotton/rayon amounts. I was never suuccesful with the rayon but i havent tried that since using thinner juices where ive had most success.
Although i say success. It still doesn't taste as good as my gf's smok trophy v2 which is annoying.
How are people having better success with high vg on a similar setup?
Any high ohm coils that are better for flavour?
Are claptons etc worth the effort?

Here are a couple of pics of my latest build for the subtank mini. LOADS of flavor, and not too shabby on vapor production, either.
Fused Clapton, two 28g kanthal core wires, 36g kanthal outer wire. 5 wraps on a 2.5mm post. 0.57Ω Vaping on my iStick 50W at 30 watts.
Vaping an 85V/15P DIY juice using Japanese organic cotton. Not a very high wattage, but good flavor nonetheless.
