Best tank for a beginner?

hey guys, been vaping now for a few weeks and to be honest im having a bit of a nightmare with it. Started with an endura T22.. which was fantastic.. until it constantly leaked.. everywhere!

So from there got a nautilus x tank with a cool fire 4 plus mod. Specifically got that tank as its leak proof.. however everytime i fill it, it spits hot juice everywhere.. its flooded a bunch of times. Its just turning into a huge hassle.

I just want something simple, I can fill and vape from without having to worry about it leaking everywhere, getting hot juice in my mouth (or any juice in my mouth really) and that just.. works! Im just looking to MTL vape at the moment.. straight to lung isnt for me right now (honestly with the trouble ive had im quite scared of inhaling some boiling hot juice!)

Any ideas? Or am i just making some really stupid errors with how i use these?

I've no experience with the tanks you have tried. You said however you are more into MTL style vaping, and therefore I'd guess you are also into flavour.

IMHO you cannot better a Nautilus Mini for that style of vaping; I have five of them; I've used them for the best part of a year and have never yet had one leak on me. I do also think they are tops for flavour.

I however never got into the current big power thing - I use mine with either 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coils and run them at 8 watts using 50/50 PG/Vg juice at 16 or 18 strength - and have never either had one spit back at me.

Others may have different ideas....

Dont go out and get a smok beast. But the choice is yours. Do you homework cause there are tanks that use the same coils. Example thriton v1, playboy mini, tobecco super mini. Aspire Cleito is a good starter simple to change coil and clean.

interesting, i think the nauitus mini uses the same coils as the nautilus x too which would be handy. Does it have a standard drip tip size? Something that really annoys me about the nautilus x is that it has a weird size drip tip that nothing normal fits. Its a super wide bore too which i cant stand, it really gives me a headache when i draw from it

The Nautilus full size uses the same coils as the Mini and also takes Triton Mini coils.

The Nautilus mini accepts any other standard size mouthpiece including e-pipe stems ( I have an e pipe too; when the original plastic tank died on me I replaced it with a Nautilus mini tank as the Nautilus tanks employ perspex glass and therefore accept any e liquid without disintegrating - dropping them on a marble floor is however not a good idea.)

Well, if you want to wind your own coils (much cheaper in the long run), you could go for a Lemo Drop. The Drop is an excellent MTL tank that has loads of flavor and has never leaked a drop on me. The only downside to the drop is it's a bottom fill tank that you need to use a small screwdriver to put juice in it.

thanks for the suggestion. To be honest that would probably be too much work for me, im not very handy! maybe after ive been vaping for a while might want to look into dripping and RTAs and stuff but for the moment just looking for something simple and reliable

My hubby likes the Eleaf GS-Air tanks
http://www.rockymountainvapor.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_114&products_id=347
he is strictly a MTL vaper! this tank only takes the 1.2 and the 1.5Ω coils
They also have a TC tank
http://www.rockymountainvapor.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_114&products_id=437
I think the TC tank will take any of the GS air coils .75Ω , 1.2Ω , 1.5Ω (kanthal- wattage mode) including the .15Ω(nickel Temp control only)
These are cheap($7.50) and work great with no leaks! The downside is that they are a bottom fill!

TC coils are sold out- but RMV usually great at restocking! RMV code president for 25% off plus free super fast shipping at $14.00

Good above-ohm tanks for MTL

Joyetech Tron-S, but must buy 1 ohm CLR coils, (can be rebuilt)(I use this one on occasion too)

Joyetech Cubis, leakproof, 1.5 ohm Clapton coils, but have to buy replacement coils, not so good using the rba heads.
(good leak-proof tank but I hate having to buy replacement heads so it's on the shelf now)

OLDIE but GOODIE
Anyvape Davide Glassomizer, uses Kanger PT-2 heads, (can be rebuilt) (must use with Kanger Airflow Controller for proper airflow)
(been using these for over 2 years, simple, no leaking, bottom fill without tools).
(replaced at the 2 year point as the threads were stating to go bad)
I just change the metal drip tip to a delrin type, hate using the metal or the wide bore tips.

It's a shame that you don't yet feel confident enough to wrap your own coils/wicks because there are some fantastic tanks like the Kayfun v3(+), Taifun GT2v2 and the Rose v2/3 that are quite cheap to buy, and offer absolutely fabulous MTL flavour performance.

It's really not hard at all to wrap coils and wicks when you've done a few - it really saves a lot of purchases and money, and lets you tailor the vape to exactly how you like it - you can even buy large packs of pre-coiled wicks if you *really* can't wrap them yourself for any reason - you just have to mount them, test them, juice them up and you're ready to go!

The Nautilus X is worst MTL tank any beginner should be advised to use, it would force you back into smoking. I would advise the Nautilus Mini or the Triton 2 from Aspire. I currently use the Triton 2 for MTL vaping, and I don't know of a better MTL performer out there, at least I don't believe there is one. I would also suggest looking into the Vaporesso Guardian Tank. The reviews to these tanks can be found on my website - the realist joe dot com

Good Luck

Joe.
That's not my experience. I first tried cig looking vapes(worst thing in the world). I went back to smoking. Then I went to ego style and that didn't work work me either. I went back to smoking. Finally I went for the Nautilus x. I started with MTL then opened the air flow all the way and went to DTL 1.8mg. This combination help me quit cigs. The only reason I don't go for sub-ohm tanks is that the juice I use is expensive and using DTL uses up a lot of juice. The juice I use has no sweeteners added. The flavors are just from the tobacco leaf. the only non-tobacco ingredients added are VG/PG 50/50.

Really? Why?

I have the Nautilus Mini, full size and the X. The X is a great tank.

I heard super tank minis are inexpensive and good quality. They also come in a ton of flavors, also I heard about a new tank that has a specific filter feature in it, to protect against that juice splashing into your mouth. Can't recall the name. I personally just got a pink enigma and it is the best I've ever had. You have to pick the tank best for you on, wattage, flavor, and so on. Good luck.
