I need to order a 4oz of Vanilla Swirl... but I'm almost afraid to.

I recalled why I didn't take the bottle of Shisha Strawberry to my husband when I was unable to remove that cap by ANY normal means -- it was about 2am and he was asleep! So I had to just destroy that stupid dropper cap just to get it off! That flavor, it really needs to be in glass, not plastic; I think it might be one of those "plastic killers" like citrus and a few others, at least just *slightly*. I'd really really hate to open a new bottle one day that I'd had sitting around in its original plastic bottle, only to find that it smelled/tasted like plastic; it's too expensive to waste! So I always empty the plastic bottles I get from y'all, into some of the actual Inawera 100ml glass bottles I've saved (and the 25ml left, goes into a 30ml glass bottle which is the one I actually use while mixing -- I never ever stick syringes into the bottles that contain larger amounts, to avoid cross-contamination). The other flavors I use, Vanilla Swirl, DX Bavarian, and CAP sweet cream, seem to be perfectly fine, stored in plastic; for my mixing, with those, I have some of the 15ml glass bottles that I got from TPA/TFA, and an actual 13ml Capella plastic bottle for the sweet cream.

But I'm gonna have to break down and order a 4oz of Vanilla Swirl pretty soon; got only about 1oz left in the 4oz [rectangular] bottle that has the nifty dispenser cap on it.

Well, shit. I was considering just ordering Vanilla Swirl directly from TFA, it would be WELL worth the $1.49 difference in price and even the much longer shipping time, if I could get some kind of decent bottle. But the google listing for TFA shows the same goddamned asinine 4oz bottle: asinine4ozbottle.jpg

So I guess I'm just plain FUCKED. :headbang: I guess i couild just order a whole goddamned bunch of little bitty bottles, which I have no trouble removing the annoying dropper tip from. But that would be a much bigger difference in price than $1.49. :headbang:

Most of the time I mix by weight. Accordingly, I want drip tips on my flavor dispensers.

In addition, I am price sensitive (cheap) and if the packaging desired by some here increases my cost...well....

I'm thinking your "plates and screws" might just need a minor adjustment.

Umm.. I just clicked that amazon link in the quoted post, but there must be 20 bottle openers on that page???

    Andria

ETA: Did you mean this one: https://www.everzon.com/reewape-5in1-shortfill-cap-opener-tool.html?sscid=c1k3_9xmd0&

I didn't see it till just now, but how does it work? And a 4oz bottle is actually about 125ml, not 120ml, so would it even fit those 4oz bottles?

Ahh, that was going to be one of my next questions, how long do they take to ship? And how much would the shipping be, considering that item is only $1.90? I see they have an Aegis Solo for a DAMN nice price, and I've been considering getting one of those, so it might be worth it. But if there's a slow boat involved, no way in hell it'll be here in time for xmas. I guess I can just get the mate to open the Vanilla Swirl for me.

They also appear to have several MtL RDAs I've not seen before, but 1) they all seem to have way too much airflow to be a really tight draw... and 2), how in the hell do you build those newfangled things? Whatever happened to plain old single coils secured with plain old phillips head screws??? Ah well. I gave up on ever finding another RDA that would suit me, a long time ago, so I may as well just stick with my Achilles. Just makes me so frustrated, all these new toys, and nothing at all that would suit me.:cry:

i ordered from everzon. so idk if god even knows. but i ordered something else from them, so. and the longer it takes for me to order, the longer i will have to wait. i just looked, FT has em shipped for around $3. what are you waiting for. how long have you been waiting already ?

do you have an Elder Dragon ? its a nice rda and can be clamped down to nearly no airflow.

Haven't ordered anything, just trying to find a better way to open those damned 4oz dropper tops that doesn't involve "honey do". ;)

Never even heard of an Elder Dragon, but the salient question is, how large is the INTERIOR airhole? If it's bigger than 1.2-1.5mm, then it won't suit me no matter what can be done to the outer airhole -- the inner has to be tight too, or it's not really a tight draw. The Achilles is so great because the inner airhole is only 1.2mm, and the outer can be adjusted via a hex key on the bottom, like the old Kayfun Lite Plus tanks; I keep the outer hole set to about half-closed, since the inner one is so perfect. I'm told that's the equivalent of "gnat's ass tight" but I've never seen a gnat's ass, so I really can't say if that's true. :p

well, it looks like this is it. time will tell.

the ED has 4 2.9mm holes, 2 on each side. now, if the AF can be clamped off to nearly nothing, i don't see how what is past that makes any difference. but, makes no difference now, the ED is a rda. you want RTA. i am thinking a Billet Box would give you what you want.

No I absolutely DON'T want an RTA! And 4 2.9mm holes???? HAHAHAHAHAH! That's be GREAT for HUFFING a vape, but not for a tight-draw MtL. As I said... it doesn't matter how tight you can close the outer airhole, if the inner airhole isn't just as tight -- it will be "flabby." Since you don't like a tight draw, you really have no way of knowing what a real tight draw really is -- it's 1.2mm inner, and about 1mm outer, like my Achilles RDA.

I use the 4 Oz bottles to mix up small batches all the time and prefer the dropper top as I mix by weight. I prefer not to have to clean out syringes and weight is quicker and cleaner. As long as you have the option of a dropper top I'll be happy.

I just use a thin craftsman swrew driver. But i used the press brake at work to curve the tip into a hook shape. Easy peasy. Off the cap goes.

I've always used a pocket knife to remove caps. I hold the knife with the sharp edge towards myself and wrap my thumb around the threads on the bottle with the blade edge between cap and bottle (rock the blade back and forth to get in between) once your in it doesn't take much force to pop the top off but it's not uncommon for me to chase after it as it's bouncing across the room floor. Lol Will be checking out this opener though as I have to make a flavor order anyways.

I've worn the hell outta my long sleeved tshirt. The logo has started to fade a bit, lol. I love that shirt. Wonder if they'll ever carry other colors? Only change I'd make would be 100% cotton, instead of a blend. Regardless, they're nice shirts.

I've done this for a long time too. It takes like 2 seconds and those tops/tips wiggle out easily.

I just learned a new way for the 60ml internal type tips. Put the cap on the tip without threading it. Hold the cap and bottle firmly and try bend the cap to a 45° angle. The tops pop right out. It takes a little practice but it works well.

Transit times are crazy fast to my location ;) ha. just mixed some up at 2.5% so we shall see. I'm not sure if that's enough, it smells strong-ish but Its not what I imagine the perfect cookie butter to be in my own mind but its better than alternatives. It tastes really good off the finger so I imagine after a couple of tries to figure it you can come up with some pretty awesome stuff with this.

I’ve watched a few YouTube’s about the new Wonder Flavors. It seems the strawberry cheesecake is the hands down favorite. Cookie butter a close second.....but it’s not Speculoos cookie butter. Seems like it’s a really good bakery enhancer? Either way, it’s gonna be in my mailbox tomorrow and I’m excited.
