Hi All Vapers
Just a question as I have been pondering my vaping career. I read all over the forum about people as they enter the vaping community asking questions about upgrading and what equipment they should choose. Of course there are many answers to these questions but mostly it all depends on the individual. My question is exactly the opposite. Can a person successfully downgrade and which steps should they take.
I started vaping with a V2 cig, then moved to a Halo and then to the MVP with Nautilus mini (BVC coil). The MVP with Nautilus was where I finally gave up a 20+ year smoking habit. From there I went to the IVP 3 and Atlantis original. I have been in the incredible subtank wars (check out the amazing thread we have here at VU on the subject) now since January. I have tried, purchased and thought about many of the sub-ohm tanks out there and each day I see new ones. One to the main topic.
We all know or strongly believe that Vaping is safer than smoking and I am a firm believer and supporter of Vaping and Vapors rights. I have shown, demonstrated and spoke to countless people about the benefits of vaping over smoking. Some I have converted and others I have not had success with. Its all good because at least I have shown them other alternatives exist… HOWEVER, there is still a certain amount of risk that all of us vapers take and we are aware of them and take as many precautions as we can. As I have been sub-ohm vaping, I keep coming back to my main point on why I took up vaping. That was to get off cigs and I would eventually no longer need to vape either.
I have been able to bring myself from 24 mg of Nic to 0 and it works. I love vaping but I feel it may be time now for me to begin cutting back on my vaping or at least my vaping styple. I do chain vape my sub-ohm tanks A LOT and I mean approx 20+ mls a day. That may not be a lot for some but I feel it is certainly quite a bit. Although I do love my sub-ohms and the vapor and flavor that my devices produce, I am seriously considering taking a step backwards towards a more traditional style of Vape. I enjoy my SX M with temp and maybe I will go with something that I can still utilize the temp control for awhile.
So the real question is have any of you experienced or know of others who have been able to successfully down grade the vaping style without crashing completely. Is there a recommended path on devices to use or do you have a preference on these. Like I said, I did use the Nautalis Mini early on. I found myself a bit unsatisfied with it but it got me off smokes. Maybe with the Nickel coils it will be better…. I haven’t kept up with traditional vape styles as I have been heavily into the sub-ohm world so I am unsure of what new devices are available that are not junk…
Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated as I am pondering this next step in life. Thank you for taking the time to read through this rambling……
