CKS Mod saying 'charging no output'

I've had it for about 6 months. I never charge it with the USB, I always just recharge the batteries separately. It's been working fine up until this morning (I've had coil issues, but that is unrelated). Whenever I try to use it, the screen says "charging no output', but the device is not actually charging. Please help! Thanks in advance.

Is there debris in the USB port? Have you tried removing the batteries or different batteries? Have you tried plugging in the USB?
