Clicking a URL should open in a new tab/page/window

When clicking on a link a post, the current implementation just follows the link in the same page so you are taken away from the VU forum.

There normally is a switch in the forum software configuration to open links in a new tab/page/window.

Yes, that is a way to do it, but it shouldn't be necessary. It is also a user experience issue because when someone does not do that, either because they don't think about it (since very few sites don't open a new tab) or know about it, it takes them away from the site and they have to navigate back into it.

It's a pretty standard function, and I'd be pretty surprised if it wasn't as simple as checking off a box in the admin config panel.
