Hi there

I'm hoping somebody can help me here... I vape using the Aspire mini odyssey Kit and the 0.15 Ni coils. My coils are burning out way too fast (between 1 and 2 days max).

I prime them properly and don't chain vape either, vaping between 400F and 500F.The liquid I use is the Element brand at 80/20 VG/PG.

The only thing I can think of is that the device was dropped a while back which coincides with an inability to remove the bottom part of where the tank screws into the kit? Below the air holes if that makes sense?

I'm burning through coils so much I might as well be back on the cigarettes!!

Can anybody offer any advice please?

I would try posting this in the "Sub-Tanks/Clearomizers/Glassomizers" section of the Mods and Accessories area.

So, you're having the same problems that you were having in this thread, but with a different setup?http://vapingunderground.com/threads/help-w-aspire-quest-mini-kit.177029/#post-853918
That was just a case of not knowing how to prime the coil when I first started using the kit.

I've been using it ever since, with no problems, but the last month or so my coils are burning out very quickly. I keep reading that people can get 1-2 weeks out of them, whereas I've only ever managed 4-5 days, currently 1-2 with this problem?

I wouldn't be surprised, if you have cheap "knock off" coils. My Triton 0.4 Ohm coils are good for at least a week.

I spoke to my point of purchase and they've advised me against priming the coils by dripping into the coil's top and only priming via the holes on the sides. I'll give that a go, but I'm dubious.

Just do what they say and then let the tank sit for 10-15 mins. Some coils flood more easily than others if you prime on the top!

They told you that, 'cause you could over saturate, which could cause gurgling, or worse leaking through the air holes.

Another reason for your coil issue, it could be your eJuice. Dark and/or sweet eJuice tends to gunk up coils pretty quick. In addition, before making my own eJuice, I used to buy a vanilla flavored liquid, which I couldn't vape over 10-15W, otherwise, I would get a burned flavor. I also had to change the coils every 1-2 days. FYI, that eJuice was dark, and very sweet.

Interesting... I'll try some different juice once some new coils arrive. Thanks, folks!
