do 2 different gauge coils at the same resistance use the same amount of wire? an example would be twisted 24 gauge 6 wrap dual coil comes out .2 ohms and and 7 wraps of 22 gauge dual coil also comes out to around .2...do these coils use the same amount of wire? ps. both coils are a 2.5mm wrap

A single strand of thicker wire at a given ohm and id will be longer than thinner wire.

In your example the 22 coil might still have more mass than the twisted 24. (Not done math).. but the twisted coil having multiple strands of wire will use a longer length off the roll to make. So it more wire many because it 2 wires. If you count the twisted wire a 1 wire 6 wraps on 2.5mm is a shorter length than 7 wraps.
