I made dual coils that have 10 wraps per coil from ni90 24 gauge and they read .15 resistance.Does having all those wraps cause it to take longer to ramp up compared to two coils that have the same resistance with 5 wraps per coil?Also with more surface area on the 10 wrap coil does it have more vapor production?
10w is a lot. 24gN90 is low ohm in nature with a very quick ramp time. What ID millimeter wise are you using? And even tho it’s N90, they’ll probably have a slower ramp time just because of the amount of wire. I’d go for the dual 5 wraps.
Airflow, wicking, & Coils all have to be taken into consideration when you’re talking about vapor production. If your wicking isn’t proper & is blocking airflow, you’re not gonna get good production.
In all my years experience building coils & trying to get the perfect amount of production at a certain ohm mark, it all varies based on the material of the wire used, placement, etc.
I’d say the 24g 10 wraps are going to be a long ramp.
My “go to” build for my atties is generally my 28gN90 tricore aliens with either a 36g or 38g 316L wrap. They ohm out at .10~ and have virtually no ramp time.
