Watching now, BYU beating UCONN...maybe. :)

I like Oregon because my nephew played Safety for them and of course my home state teams: WSU/UW.

Here, this helps....

I'm a CU Buff fan, it's been a tough decade, lots of rebuilding to do. We have our home opener against ASU tonight, it will probably be ugly, but I always watch. I root for the PAC 12 teams otherwise since I want our conference to do well.

It's been a decade since we had a winning season, no bowl game since 2007. Our national championship in 1991, and our fiesta bowl in 2001 seem so long ago... maybe because they are. We have a good new coach, but it's painful to watch my buffs. It will get better, but being in the PAC certainly doesn't do us any favors. Way too many good teams in the conference, but at least we don't play Oregon this year, thank god.

I was at the Oregon game second row behind the Oregon bench when Darron Thomas and lamichael James were there, it was a massacre. I think the starters were pulled after the first quarter. Their current coach, mark Helfrich was our offensive coordinator prior to chip Kelly getting hired, and stealing him away. Oh how I wish he never left. Probably gonna be a painful watch tonight. I stand by them no matter what, though.

Oregon is on fire so far, I have not watched sports in around a decade. This year, me and the fam decided to get behind our new state and jump in head first. Glad we have been watching, action, action, action...great group of guys. They looked like kids next to the Michigan line up last week, they were behind and still brought it back to a 19 point win.

They're real fun to watch, and it seems they have an endless stockpile of talented and FAST athletes. I enjoy them except when they're destroying my boys. Will be rooting for them all year, they are the PAC 12's best chance at getting to the playoffs and beyond. Since we don't play them, go ducks!

Just flipped to the OU game and it's scoreless with 2:30 left in the first quarter, Wyoming is in the red zone, too. I'm kinda shocked.

Huge, HUGE Buckeye fan. 66-0 against Kent St right now...
Totally different team dynamic this year, different feel but we lost a lot of big players.
I was, however, happy to see OSU make a strong showing in the NFL draft. To bad we lost Ryan Shazier early.
Can't blame him though.

Ate some food and took a nap, and yeah, Oregon decided to be Oregon... I caught most of the first half. Was a bit concerning for a moment. That freshman RB is scary, and Mariota is incredible.

Just under 5 hours until kickoff for my Buffs, and my weekly exercise of misery... Lol. Oh well, I'm a true fan, and I stick by my team.

Was wondering where the "Sports " talk was , i'm not a sports nut but College football is a must watch.

You my friend are in for it lol, i couldn't get enough of those last two games , Oregon/FSU and Alabama/ Ohio State , great great games especially the latter game .

Sorry to say for you though, i think it's Oregon's year , Mariota seems like a great kid , routing for him although i loved watching Bama lose to Mr.Meyers team.

Buckeyes all the way.
Won, Not Done, ladies and gentlemen.
This team has more than enough heart, drive and depth to come home with their bag limit of ducks.
Happy hunting, guys!

Got to vote with your head not your heart , only chance State has is to hold the ball for the entire game and limit possessions for Oregon , if Oregon is allowed to work their offense as much as the did against FSU this one could get ugly early.

THIS.

Only thing I have doubts on is Oregon making it a mess crazy early. That's not been their style as much this year, and OSU is legit. I do think they'll break it open, though, and after that craziness could ensue. They pulled Mariota and their starters early in the FSU beat down. It would've been more than a 39 point win had they kept their foot on the pedal.

At least people are finally stopping with the tired talk of Oregon having a weak defense, that isn't physical up front. Those people read the stats, that's all. They are beasts, but if you watch the games you realize that when your offense scores in 90 seconds, you're gonna bend a little, but they rarely break. Oregon's reputation has suffered from their time zone. Im a CU fan, for better or worse, so I actually watch the PAC 12 and it always has frustrated me hearing the whole finesse and not tough BS. Now we all know.

Go Ducks, you've wiped my Buffs all over the field for the entire existence of the PAC 12, go get the PAC a championship.

Me, I don't follow sports.

Period.

In my day, I enjoyed playing sports and I was even on a small college basketball team.

But I could never get into watching others play.

And thankfully after the 12th of this month, all things related to Football go away for another year. Well more like 9 months and I can go back to listening to the local news and not having it all about football.

PS.

Go BUCKS! Even if I don't follow it and the subject bores me to tears I still support our team.

Most said Oregon dominated the game in the trenches and thats scary , they also stopped FSU from scoring from the one yard line on four downs , they are much tougher than people think. If OS can't really wreak havoc on Mariota and he is given the time to work it's not going to be pretty .

Ohio State is excellent but Oregon's offense is just on another level entirely , a team would have to have a D like the 85 Bears to have a chance lol.

I am reminded of an old cartoon that I once saw published in Playboy.

Showed a guy with a very attractive woman in an apartment.

Neighbor stopped by and announced that he had a great porn movie and did he want to come over and watch it?

The dude with the gal made a very simple statement.

"No thanks, I would rather do it myself"

My opinion on watching sports.

I would rather do it myself.

That all being said, I from time to time compete in dart's tournaments.

And I don't watch those on TV either.

FYI, we do get to drink while throwing!

Actually I think it is an unwritten rule.

And believe it or not the top tournaments are televised.

Still don't watch them.

Indeed it is RJ , heavy drinking is always allowed and often encouraged . I believe it's about keeping the excitement of fans who get to watch it in check . Makes them a little more sluggish and easier to deal with.

And yes again , they are televised and for very good reason i might add , to deny the millions of hardcore fans just wouldn't be right now would it , at least i don't think it would.

Oh and another thing , in case you haven't noticed i'm being sarcastic , some people get real bent and take it personally , you know better i hope.

The sheer conditioning and speed at substitutions necessitated when facing Oregon is almost inexistant. There was one touchdown against FSU where they were subbing defenders, the line wasn't set, and a d lineman was running off the field still when the ball was snapped. They didn't even bother to call it, and there's no way they missed it.

Their offense is speed speed speed. Wether it's the speed of running each play, or the endless amount of speedy athletes, well, it's just speed, lol.

I love college football, that and the NBA. Not a big NFL fan, so I'm pumped for Monday, but a bit sad. The year goes so fast.

Yeah, don't care for the NFL much myself , like college hoops though , not an NBA fan really .

I'm all college for football pretty much, and all NBA for basketball. A bit contradictory, I do follow the season, and my team, though.

It's really been a good year for college football. I don't like OSU, and admittedly thought they shouldn't have gotten in to the playoff, but I was wrong. They're damn good, and though I think Oregon will win, we should have an entertaining game one way or another. OSU is gonna try to run the ball a lot is my guess, keep it out of Mariota's hands. We are close to finding out.

I think your right on the money with your take on how the game is likely to go , even though OSU's quarterback can throw deep i can't see that happening unless they get down by a considerable amount early .

When a team has an explosive offense the game plan is usually controlling the ball and eventually scoring after long time consuming drives . If OSU attempts to have a shootout it will cost them .

Interesting to see if Oregon's D can shut down Ohio States run game , Mariota's a magician though , he's just that good , hope it's a good game but if it's close late in the third quarter i will be surprised .
