Single coil, six wraps, 3mm id, 24ga. Kanthal?
Those are 15 cores, well 2 cores and 15 ribbons..... They is big and ohm at .04 for a pair......Those look like 4 or 5 core fused Claptons with a high(ER) gauge wrap. 36 or 38 maybe.
Did you make those Manny?
Framed stapled fused Claptons then I think. Those are 15 cores, well 2 cores and 15 ribbons..... They is big and ohm at .04 for a pair......
I cut a leg off and took a macro shot..... It's on this thread somewhere or maybe in the show us your build thread and Raymo called it a staple frame or Some fancy name, but on the macro you can see the two exterior leads creating the frame and count the the (15) pieces of ribbons......Framed stapled fused Claptons then I think.
I didn't even think of the ribbon even though I just ordered some. Can't see inside.
Here is one you can tell me what they are called.....Anybody can correct me if I'm wrong, but the way understand it is as follows:
"Framed" means there is wire on each side that frames the part in the middle.
If the part in the middle is ribbon, it's called "stapled." (However this can be round frames and ribbon cores or ribbon frames and round cores or micro Clapton frames and or cores, on and on)
If there is no staggering, then that would be a "stapled fused Clapton", which means I misspoke above because there are no frames.
If the frames are "staggered", which means a Clapton wound with a space between each wrap, and then fused, that would be a staggered framed stapled fused Clapton. Or whatever order it's listed in.
"Fusing" is the outermost wrap that holds it all together.
With staggered fused wire, the fusing runs inside the spaces of the staggered frame and you can see all of whatever is in the middle.
AND there is a mind numbing array of combinations of those and other types, like twisted, alien Claptons, braids etc that are too numerous to mention and most certainly should be done somebody other than me anyway.

I'm definitely not going to be the one to dispute anything about building with Raymo btw.
I am wholly unqualified to do such a thing if that hint was pointed at meit would be nice if there was a thread showing what each is, hint hint.
I can't remember now. Do you have any dual coil atomizers yet?INTAKE ... Recurve...
For me too anyway, this is kinda normal. The intensity of the flavor fluctuates a bit depending on the saturation of the cotton....seemed to loose flavor as the tank went low, NOT a good thing = the tank was not that low.
By "twisted", do you mean "wrapped?" As in pulled around a jig to make the coil?I would like to see what a properly twisted 24g wire coil looks like, so I could adjust mine.

Or do you mean twisted like this:

I think you mean "wrapped".
I cannot take any more than a small mtl hit off it(which is ok enough most of the time), or else I get burnt cotton(I think that's what it is).
The OBS Engine is top fill, doesn't leak. I like the v2 of that one, but about the only way to get them to leak is to open the top cap and lay it down. And we're not gonna do that.
I think single coil would be the way to go. You can get a dual down the road if you think you need/want it. If I were getting a single coil RTA right now, it would be this one.

I was just thinking (yeah, I do that sometimes). whaat watts am I going to need to fire this ? I know the coils make the difference.
this is planned for my Innokin Cool Fire 4 - 100W
can it do it ? or a new mod ?
a genuine mooch approved 25-30 amp CDR battery.
What does this mean? I make it a point not to mooch off other people’s vapes, but if you’re saying maybe I oughta reconsider this policy...

Here is the 1st fused Clapton I ever made I was SO thrilled. By hand too. No spool tamer or nuthin.
0.012BY HAND?
How many weeks did this take?!
I meant I held the spool in my hand and guided the wire manually as opposed to one of the more automated methods.BY HAND?

I actually prefer twisted, but there are a lot of other factors involved of course and everybody has their preferences. I really love Clapton over twisted.I used to be all about them twisted coils until I discovered that parallel coils produce a better flavour. Now I’m about them parallel coils, son.

I just got a wotofo faris today it's the rta/rda can be used as either, and I've had zero leaking. Never thought i would like rta, but this is amazing!I am looking for a new work tank. the innokin isub v I am using now, its ok, but I cannot take any more than a small mtl hit off it(which is ok enough most of the time), or else I get burnt cotton(I think that's what it is). I could just get another regular tank, but coil costs.
so, is there and RTA tank that doesn't leak or spill ?
I'm new and don't have a clue.
Experiment with the wicking. Thinner. Shorter.while the Intake is much better than the Isub. I am now finding myself wanting even more .
it was hitting so nice that I took to much of a hit = either burnt cotton, burnt juice, or both. thankfully it went away as it was in the morning.
so I have to find a better coil/wicking, or just get another RTA.
