    i hope i haven't been stupid.
they discontinued my fav mod, the sigelei sobra.
    prices are dirt cheap.
i use these because i'm lazy.
as soon as i put batteries in, the screen goes to watts, so i can ignore everything else.
i fiddle with watts a bit n then i never have to deal with any silly options.

    anyway, i now have 7.
i'd like to put away 3 as back ups.
i was assuming the electronics stay new as long as the mods are never used.
is this correct, or will they deteriorate in storage?

Should be fine just seal up well in a freezer zip lock and store away from excessive heat.

yeah mainly you just need to seal the air because it often contains some traces of corrosive agents that could corrode contacts and such in the mod.
If you have any of those do not eat little silica packets throw a couple of those in the bag.

ok, i can do that, but if moisture is the concern, no problems.
this is the driest place i've ever been.
nothing rusts n sometimes the air is so dry it hurts to breathe.

that's why i never mow lawns.
the drought killed my lawn n i haven't replaced it.
    lawns take too much water.

Not just moisture but chemicals in the house, bleach, air freshner, soap, PG/VG fumes, etc
Over time can cause corrosion and such.. So just a good ziplock freezer bag should suffice.

Ohh we kind of corrode ourselves with lots of chemicals and such in our food and beverages our atmosphere, etc.
But sealing ones self in a plastic bag ends badly.

Here in KY 40% is extremely low humidity.
Might get down to 20% during subzero weather in winter.

i fled high humidity, but found that i can't take insane heat.
they claim dry heat is ok, but when it goes over 110 degrees, that's possible death.

I love the high plains of NM. Awesome weather, I love the dry sunny temperate climate.

very sunny n dry, but i'm not sure about temperate, this far from the coasts.
    i've seen -1 degrees n 114 degrees.
winter is actually nice but summer sucks if you weren't born here.
