So today I knocked my rig off the counter onto the floor. The glass along the bottom edge was chipped but it was still holding together, but looked crooked.
Took it apart, replaced the glass, and reassembled. But my mod wouldn't detect it. Apparently the deck isn't making contact. I noticed that the base had separated on one edge. You can see it in this photo:
You can see at the right side above the grip ring it's separated.
I squeezed them together and felt a snap. It's still visibly kinked, but now it's making contact. I want to know before I order a new one if anybody has successfully repaired similar damage?
Also, see those coils? Straight 22 gauge kanthal. Cooler vape and way more clouds than the claptons that it came with. I was surprised. The claptons were .2 ohm, these are .3 ohm. Sooo... Maybe? dunno. I'm happier with my own coils though, and I suck at making coils. hehehe
