I guess the pg with the nic would be minimal and I can still have a high vg ratio. Is that correct?

Yes, I cut my PG NIC from 100mg per ml down to 50mg per ml just for easier/safer mixing.
You could also cut it down by adding 50% VG instead of PG so you have a 50/50 mix if desired.

And at 2% NIC it only comes out to 0.6ml of PG I'm adding, so it doesn't do much to bother a high VG mix.
If using 100mg that amount would be cut in half of course.

The other advantage to PG NIC it's easier to get the NIC + PG mixed up better before using.

BTW: Storage in the freezer is very common/normal for most all of us.

Well if you do get around to DIY and want to keep track of costs, I suggest using either Scubabatdan's excel spreadsheet or ejuice calculator software. Both take a bit of setup work and data entry to keep track of inventory, usage, costs, recipes etc. But well worth it in the long run to keep your spending in check. Or at least show you where all your money went after you get the itch! Check em out after the government and healthcare system stop raping you.
