Had the opportunity thanks to a heads up by a friend to go see a trio of awesome regional metal bands tonight at a very small venue, that as luck would have it is less than 10 miles from the house.
I got asked in another thread by @havok333 about the show I was headed to and I wanted to take a few before I crash to share the names of the bands and the reason I found out about them.
A friend - Rob Salem - who's the DJ for the streaming radio show The Forge on Radio Free Kokomo out of Kokomo, IN, was responsible for the show tonight and for getting the 3 awesome bands to play. You can find The Forge - https://www.facebook.com/theforgeradio or http://www.radiofreekokomo.org/ He's on from 1pm - 3pm Eastern time daily.
Tiny venue, intimate crowd, mostly friends and friends of friends. Well worth the cost of admission and worth way way more than that.
