How I'm the world do I get the stock 510 pin back in it?

I went to go put the bottle on it and the 510 pushed right out
I have the nut and washer for it but I can't get it threaded to save my life

I'm not making light of your current situation, but that sounds like a serious connector failure and I'd be interested to see what happened....
