Woke up this morning to a sound we all recognize quite well... CHhhhhhhhhhh.

Looked over to my nightstand and my vape is emitting a glow!

WTF?!?!?

I've had them go off in my pocket, but never just sitting on the table, free of the button being touched.

Lost Vape Centaurus Quest squonk with a 16 month old 21700 Molicel p42a in it....

I'm not sure if my dad was sending me a message from the other side or what could have made this thing self fire for 6-8 seconds at exactly 8am.

Either way, there's nothing quite like changing cotton the instant you wake up.

Happy daylight savings time to those of you cursed with this outdated nonsense.

That is "spooky". I've had a small auto draw fire when I was outside an a windy day (venturi effect) but never a button fire device. Is it working OK now? I would shut off the power when not using it just in case.

It's worked fine all day. I contemplated throwing it out. But I'll take your advice and shut it off before I go to bed... a fantastic idea that never crossed my mind!

It's always nearby or in my hand during the day, so night time is def the biggest risk. If it's auto firing, I probably shouldn't trust the other safeguards. If it happens again I'll just toss it. Not worth my life or house burning down over $75.

I forgot about it happening until I saw this tab on my phone.

You mentioned it being a "squonk"... I haven't used those (but wish I had) Has the mod ever had juice leak into it? Is it regulated or mech?
