I pay school tax on my property.And guess who gets to pay for their health care?
Why should I pay that when I have not had a child in school for decades?

I believe Wal-Mart has the highest number of employees who also get government assistance to make ends meet. These guys commenting here would find a way to justify that too. Because it makes perfect sense for a business owned by 5 of the top 10 wealthiest people in America to pay their employees less than a living wage.

Nobody is deciding how much someone has. But if you are forcing people into near slave labor to do it, that is not acceptable.
Is is also not acceptable to allow those with more to avoid paying their fair share of taxes. Rewarding the rich is what we do these days while punishing the less fortunate. It is extremely unbalanced. These people we keep electing fall on the advantaged side and we buy all their bs.

I think you must have read that wrong. He is comparing taxes for school to Healthcare. So you think it's ok for everyone to pay their share for your kids to go to school but not fair for everyone to help pay for Healthcare? Contradiction isn't it?
Children need education for our country to grow . We have all agreed along time ago we would share in education. Why should I pay for your healthcare if you don't wanna get your own ? I pay to send my kid to private school and I pay property tax .

Education is also a privilege of our society I agree kids need to be educated to be productive. Many countries don't have this system we are lucky . After your paid education you get a job and take care of yourself you don't ask everyone else too . If I go by your logic of a death being a death no matter how it happens why do you care ? Death comes to everyone . Some sooner then later . We live in the greatest country on earth everyone gets taken care of and you know it . You say you can't be a Christian if you don't fork over all your money to someone who won't work or is just lazy and doesn't take personal responsibility for themselves. If Jesus was here he'd help people but he would do the best for them to take responsibility for themselves. I'm not against helping truly poor or physically unable people I'm talking about how abused our system is we can't afford to take care of everybody we just can't . I understand what you are saying. What I am saying is we don't get to be judge and jury on who lives or who dies. There is no perfect system of any kind. You have to take the good with the bad.
The best we can do is to have a system that helps those who need it and those who aren't always perfect citizens. We give criminals Healthcare in jail. We should do our best to provide the best we can and provide better checks and balances to mitigate abuse. What he have now has many flaws, we need to fix the flaws and improve the system. Anything else is just going to further benefit the insurance and drug companies.
I did not say anything close to what you heard about being Christian. I only stated that if you are Christian you should want to help as many possible.
Doing nothing at all is the worst choice we can make. That is all I am saying. I could go on about ideas I have for dealing with abusers but that is too much to type in a single post.

What I find funny is that we pay for the uninsured already. Hospitals have to provide care in the case of life or death regardless of insurance. This adds to all of our insurance costs.
It also costs more to treat at that stage. Preventive care is much cheaper than emergency care. Why do you think employers push wellness? The less claims they make against the company insurance policy the lower the premiums. Preventive care reduces claims.
