The FDA and "saftey" will be used as a canard and a scare tatic to take vaping out of the hands of the people and put into the hands of the corporations...independent juice makers will be put out of bussiness, but hey they can get a shit job atPhillip Morris......Do you really think we are going to have a choice when it's all said and done?
We will be damn lucky if flavors will still be legal.
What happens if we are not so lucky?
You think we are going to find black market eliquid made in labs and clean rooms?
I think food grade standards should be followed for now for clean rooms where eliquid is made.
It makes no sense at all for eliquid manufacturers who are making under $200.000 a year to spend 25, 30 grand on a lab when we have no clue whatsoever what the FDA will require of eliquid makers in just 3 small years.
I hope this vape "Community" sues the FDA no matter what the deeming regs say because if not fuck the vape community I'm out.
This needs to be decided in court NO MATTER WHAT.
The vendors who foot the bill for the lawyers will be the vendors I support from that day forward.
Actually the idea of a self goverening people and the birth of the idea of the republic born in america and latter to spread into France and eventually all of europe. was started by zealots waving that flag.
Think about it..a small poor country inhabited by rustics with no real military..created an idea that cahnged the course of history and threw of the dominate pardigm that ruled europe for over a thousand years...pretty good for a bunch or zealot hillbillies.
....Yeah I think we have a choice in the matter...I'm an American, it is part of my culture and history to believe I have a choice in the matter of how I will choose to live....I don't find obdeince an inevitable condition of humanity...
So rather than every Tom Dick and Harry jumping on the band wagon we will have every corporation on the planet jumping on the bandwagon and we all know what a bang up job the corporations have done on protecting our health and well being...
It is an old song sold to the stupid...regulations are a canard.....Exxon finances a "enviromental group" the enviromental group get some baby seals go on the steps of congress and drench themselves with gasoline and light a match to bring attention to the hoorible air quailty around oil wells......the EPA demands a rube goldberg filter be installed to keep the air clean...the rube goldberg filter cost ten million dollars each....Exxon applaudes this move and goes out and installs the fube goldberg filter on all it's wells....after all Exoon has a ton of money and can easily afford to install them...meanwhile mom and pop oil company is running on a shoestring budget anddon't have the money to buy the rube goldberg filter, and the banks won't loan them the money........mom and pop oil company goes out of bussiness......Exxon is rid of another competitor and as a side bonus they are able to buy up mom an pop's equipment and all their oil leases for 10 cents on the dollar.....
In a free system diversity reigns.....monompolies can only exist in collusion with a corrupt and all powefull state....like we have.
Let's not get too far off the beaten path here, kids. This all started because some zealot started waving their Don't Tread on Me flag at those big gov'ment sum'bitches, simply because it was mentioned that standards and regulations are needed.
@pulsevape lives in a fantasy world. He thinks we have a choice in the matter, and while humorous to read, is not based in reality. This industry is literally the wild west, with every Tom, Dick, and Harry jumping on the vape bandwagon hoping to cash in. High powered devices that have the potential to blow someone's face off are not meant to be built by some derptard who took 7th grade shop class and distributed to the general public without some sort of standards and accountability in place. In the vape industry, we call them "mod builders". A product that is inhaled into the lungs are not meant to be made by backwoods neckbeards in dirty basements without some sort of standards and accountability in place. In the vape industry, we call them "juice makers".
There are small companies out there doing it right, but they are the exception rather than the rule. There is zero barrier to entry in the vape game, and that's a problem. It's a problem for everyone, consumers and vendors alike. Standards and regulations will fix that. The illegitimate vendors will simply go away with a pay to play system...vendors like Dr. Crimmy's who are soley interested in profit, who have no real business plan or long term potential. Will those regulations also destroy some of the good mom and pop vendors? Unfortunately, yes. Does it have to potential for a Big Tobacco/Big Pharma takeover of the vape industry? Unfortunately, yes.
And that window of opportunity, albeit very small, is where the biggest problem in vaping lies: the lack of effective advocacy. CASAA, AVA, and their ilk simply don't have the power, knowledge, money, or plan to advocate on the behalf of small business. I've said from the very beginning that if today's vape vendors have any hope of survival, they need to band together and form their own association because the current players aren't getting the job done.
I dunno man. I'm afraid it's too late for that because there are already far too many wheels in motion. Vape advocacy needed to get their shit together 2 years ago.You are right on the advocacy front but it's such a new market this is only to be expected. We will need to get our shit together in quick order.
I can agree with you 100%your point is true. no one person has the time to do it all any more.. life is just too BIG. But there is the problem the government, life, business, etc has gotten too big and there's no accountability. Like others have pointed out. health inspectors sometimes never come or show up once a year or on a schedule. Does that help? well it gives some a peace of mind. it keeps some people in line. but plenty of people get food poisoning every day form poor health practices in restaurants. is the number negligible? some may think so while others disagree But i feel there has to be a better way, and I do not feel the better way comes from a bigger government. UNLESS its multiple bigger governments. I feel the size and power of over governments FED,State, local are backwards
i would favor stripping power and expanse of the federal government and making local governments more powerful and better funded. WHY
well you normally know more people involved in the election and running of your local area you live in versus the fed or even state. its easier to dethrone a local incumbent vs a state or federal one, and its easier to move to a different town then a different state or country. SO while i am not a fan of big government for various reasons. if I had to have a big government and I can choose, I would choose a powerful LOCAL government with a small weaker federal government
You are one of the few people who have heard my stance on the size of the different gov'ts we have in this country, understood it and agreed. I wish their were moreI can agree with you 100%
It's the way our governance system was designed to be. Powerful STATE government, with a weaker FEDERAL government. You are one of the few people who have heard my stance on the size of the different gov'ts we have in this country, understood it and agreed. I wish their were more
precisely but i feel the power STATE government is too much and would like to go even further then the founding fathers. It's the way our governance system was designed to be. Powerful STATE government, with a weaker FEDERAL government.
We have the opposite and it doesn't work. We were warned by the founding fathers that this would happen. I guess history repeats itself, yet again.
I dunno man. I'm afraid it's too late for that because there are already far too many wheels in motion. Vape advocacy needed to get their shit together 2 years ago.
We've been fighting the war on the wrong fronts, in my opinion. You aren't going to sway politicians with the health angle, surveys, and scientific data. That should've been evident from the beginning. We KNOW that cigarettes kill people, but Big Tobacco foots the re-election bills, so they've been allowed to operate. Ditto Big Pharma. We need to get vaping in front of the public and bust out of our subculture shell. Vaping needs to go mainstream. Once the general public is on our side, it's an easy win. Votes matter, not surveys. Vape advocacy groups don't seem to get it.
precisely but i feel the power STATE government is too much and would like to go even further then the founding fathers.
if a small county cant afford health inspectors but the people want their restaurants inspected. The county could lay down the rules, state health inspectors could come in to do the job, but they would only enforce COUNTY/CITY laws not state
Coming from a rural county with several small towns, the good ol boys club is alive and well here. The bright side is, it's being rooted out. Had some corruption at the sheriff's office for a long time, and it's finally gone now.The whole idea was, if you didn't like the laws of a state, you could pick up and move to one you agreed with. Leaving the power to counties lets the "good ol boys club" run worse then with big government.
excellent point. I need to think more on this. Thank youHere is the problem with that school of thought.
Your asking the state to shoulder the bill for your county inspector, but think you should set the rules. WHY would the state pay for your inspector then?
Your game, your rules, your bill.
The state should have the majority of power. Counties/cities should not get to pick what laws they want to enforce or subvert.

Being in the construction and architectural business for 25 years, I've analyzed the photographs compared to the revovated lab video that Dr. Crimmy put out, and the floor plan is exactly the same - the instance of this happening in two different buildings is a million in one.
It wasn't some random troll challenging Matty Ice. It was the Doc's Kevin Lynch's #1 ball licker and head admin Zach Rosing. And I wouldn't consider Matty a snitch. If that was his motivation, he would have shown the pic's and started all of this as soon as Tony Hart gave him the pics. It all came about because Zach Rosing was calling Matty a liar during a discussion about the conditions of the lab. Matty told Zach he had proof, and it would be in his best interest ti STFU and move on. But Zach, being the moron he is, wouldn't let it go, and continued to challenge Matty. So Matty dropped the bomb on their dumb asses. Even after Zach caused all the shit, Kevin Lynch still keeps him under his wing and let's him do as he pleases, instead of shit canning his dumb ass for being a jerk off. I spoke to Kevin Lynch about Zach and the other admins and how they treat people, and he did nothing but defend them all saying they were under a lot of pressure because of the Matty Ice and Mod Envy disaster. That tells me all I needed to know about Kevin Lynch and his operation. Not impressed to say the least.I think it's funny that the only reason these pics were relased was because some random troll challenge Matty ice. And not for the good of the community also he goes on to say he doesn't snitch but yet doesn't showing these pics = telling ? (Again only cause he was challenged)
