Lemon Bilberry Cake

I LOVE LOVE LOVE INW Lemon Cake. This recipe is soooo good and so simple. I feel INW Lemon Cake is one of those flavorings that deserves to take center stage. I keep a bottle mixed as a stand alone @3% just so I can think of what subtle nuance I can add to it while vaping it. Vaping this is just like eating lemon cake and getting the occasional blueberry in every other bite. I have only steeped for one day and I'm on tank two. I imagine the Bilberry will steep in more over time as it always seems to do. I'm thinking of adding 1-1.5% FA Coconut to this mix, but I'm digging it the way it is. Enjoy.

Looking at your picture, is LA Cream Cheese Icing missing from your recipe? :)

My calendar indicates my 1 week ageing of my INW Lemon Cake mixes ends tomorrow. The wait has not been easy. I am considering getting a calendar calibrated in "dog years".;)

INW does a great job with the icing. Try it now!!! What are you waiting for?!!! Get ready to fall in love.;) IMO it only needs a day to steep.

Try it now!!! What are you waiting for?!!!

I normally wait 7 days after the initial shake & vape before sampling a new recipe. Then again, I figured I could sample today AND tomorrow. ;)

to my normal base I added...

INW Lemon cake 2.9%
INW Shisha Strawberry 1.8%
INW Strawberry 1%
LA Cream Cheese Icing 1.7%

Because I find it easier to add (as opposed to reduce) individual flavorings, I started off what I believed to be on the low side.

The cake flavor was up front and dominating. There was just a mild background strawberry flavor with the lemon predominating the fruit combination taste. It seemed to me the cream cheese icing provided just minor background creaminess notes and could not be discerned to me as an individual stand apart flavor. While that's just the profile I wanted, I might increase it .5%.

The mix has minimally smoothed out during the past 6 days and to bring it to it's possible maximum potential; perhaps additional time may be warranted. Time will tell...

A very enjoyable vape and I'm thinking I'll increase the shisha strawberry 1 or 2% ...after I sample it again...tomorrow. :)

I'm appreciating this thread very much; last time I got my 100ml shisha strawberry from e-aromashop.com, they also sent along a freebie of the Lemon Cake, and I haven't tried it yet -- it's good to know that it's such a strong dominant flavor, because what I had in mind was something more like "blueberry-lemon muffins," with the blueberry dominating -- though I'll probably use TFA Blueberry Extra, my preferred blueberry flavoring, I might add a bit of Inw Billberry too, to goose up the blueberry flavor over the lemon.

Thx much!

So where did you end up on this one? I have lemon cake finally on the way and will be mixing this up as soon as it's gets in.

It's not bad for an easy mix. I still like adding some FA Fresh or Vienna Cream to help tone down the lemon and fluff up the cake. A little FA Vanilla or FA Marzipan, FA Custard or CAPs Cheesecake or FA Nonna's Cake never hurts. You might try upping the FA Bilberry to .75% as well. I'm finding the Lemon Cake can stand up to a tad more bilberry and FA raspberry. I guess what I'm getting at is.... INW Lemon Cake is a really good one to play with.

Welp. I vaped all 1mls. Very tasty indeed. I did end up goin with 0.75 billberry FA since I love billberry and added a bit of Vienna cream.

Towards the end of the 15mls I found I wanted a touch more cake. Or different cake. So I mixed up a new 30ml batch with 1% nonna.

Supper happy with the this mix. Thanks for all your recent shares. I am totally loving your mixing style. I also have you banana mongo mix thingy steeping now too. Gotta wait a week though to vape but I'm sure it'll be great.

Thanks for the nice words. I made this mix as a simple way to introduce a fruit to INW Lemon Cake. After I got my Nonna's cake I kinda did the same as you. Then it kinda morphed into my Two Cakes mix as a cake base to add certain fruits to. I have a FA Mandarin Two Cakes steeping now.

The Banana Graham will taste fine after a few days, but better as time passes.

Yeah I always steep/age for two weeks since that is my rotation. I cant do mixing daily since work eats up a lot of my time.

And I don't do a ton of daily testing anymore because if I love something I'll never wait a whole two weeks. Then randomly I do wait two weeks and wam'oh it's even better or missing a note I really really want that isn't there and go back to the drawing board. It's a constant back and forth so I have settled on testing at 2-4 weeks for everything.

Adding marshmallow sounds like a great ideal to bring a tad more sweetness and some nice fluff.

hey,, thats what i was aiming for lol :)

my approach was 'since its light,, add light',,i didnt want any flavor wars,, fruit blood is such a pita to clean up :)

i do like bilberry,, but i am a bit tired of forcing it to escort that damn mia raspberry that i thought,, hey,, how about letting apricot have the spotlight for a change.

i will make another batch up with bavarian cream instead,, and wondered about jamaican rum (just a touch) for a browned edge of cooked brown sugar.....thats my hope anyway :)

I made this today and it was cloudy. I made it in plastic and thought maybe that was the issue so I remade in glass. Still cloudy. Is this normal? Will it clear?

I made several other things with no cloudy issues so it isn't a nic base issue.

I haven't made it in awhile , but I have had some mixes that are a little foamy like and will leave a ring at the juice line. Then it clears up in a day or two.

I think it's from the lemon cake INW. I've made this 4 times. It clears up just fine for me. It turns a nice yellow after acouple weeks.

This recpie is in my adv recpie mix at 30mls. Num num. everybody who smells my vape is like hmmm...what's that pleasant smell. It's so bad I fell I need to bring in lemon cake to just offer other people so I don't get blamed for stealth vaping in the office.
