Looking for a good tasting butter flavor. Yes I know they have diacetyl.

I know I'm supposed to avoid the baddies, but still looking for a good tasting one. I've heard FA or CAP is best. Has anyone tried any?

Thanks so much in advance!

I know this is a little late, but I have CAP Butter being delivered today, so I'll let you know.

CAP Butter or Butter Cream.

FA Coconut at 0.5% can add a buttery effect also.

I got this one from MFS and it has the MFS label on it. No warnings, but no V1 or V2, either. I'm gonna try it in a Rice Krispy Treats recipe I got from the ELR website.

Here's a pic of the bottle:

Well the butter flavor is not bad. More of a "mouth feel" thing, but still good. The Rice Krispy Treat recipe though, even at 19% flavoring, is too mild for my tastes. The TFA "Rice Crunchies" flavoring just doesn't have much flavor to it. This is the 2nd time I've tried it in a recipe, and I'm not very impressed.

Edit: I think the butter flavor will be good with yogurt and cheesecake recipes that need a little something more. Maybe cookie and cake recipes, too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but butter and buttercream are two different flavors. Also, the butter flavor on the Capella website is now called "Golden Butter". The one I have is just "Butter".

Butter cream is a different flavor altogether. Like a frosting type flavor, without being overly sweet.

I think that one is a new flavor...
Just got it recently but haven't used it yet.
Pretty mild when I drip tasted.
Also have the old CAP Butter too but hasn't been used much yet either.

Oops, just noticed, I copied the wrong link. (Too many hours on the computer)

I did end up getting the original CAP Butter and Butter Cream also. I like both for different things. On Butter, I get a distinct butter flavor as well as a richness and mouth feel, very good .5-1% to add depth to custard. Works great in my gooey cake, but become very sharp/bitey over 4%. Butter Cream is like a mildly sweet frosting, I haven't tried over 3%, haven't experimented much with it yet.
