MaddCatt Vapors has been a strong supporter of on-going advocacy, financially and with personal appearances in front of legislators to advocate for vaping for years. We have educated many legislators and even had some meeting of the minds with local public health folks across the state. We have interviewed, filmed and worked with the industry's top advocates. In fact, we felt somewhat lonely at the Maryland House of Delegates in February while advocating against a bill that would ban indoor use everywhere in the state, tax vaping and not even carve out an exception for indoor vaping in shops. I know folks are shocked and outraged that their liberties as adults are being penalized and threatened by legislators, but please put that keyboard to better use. There is serious work to be done if we do not want a De facto ban on vaping components and e-liquids. Many of your favorites juices even if they come from larger companies will not be able to afford the FDA pre-market approval applications and fees, which will result in a De facto ban. All of the experts agree the one thing and the only helpful thing right now is to urge your representatives to support and/or co-sponsor HR 2058. This will help the situation while the leaders of the this movement (CASAA, AVA, etc.) decide what to do next. Also, consider a donation, or even other advocacy efforts that don’t cost money to help educate people about what this really means. There is strength in numbers.
