Mixing batteries with different mAh

Will it have negative effects if I use two batteries in an alien kit with 3000mAh and 2500mAh?

Use the same batteries, buy new as a pair and keep them together is the best approach

Always at least use the same brand/model of battery.

And use only batteries tested / recommended by Mooch.

for an alien you need at least real 20 amp CDR batteries.

Never mix different mAh batteries because that is not a safe practice but the jury is still out on marriage of the same age, discharge/charge cycles as far as I know.
