So I got this stuff. It's natural, organic cotton that has been cleaned and sterilized. Grown/made in the U.S. It just hasn't been processed into sheet form. Has anyone tried this type of cotton yet? I'll be giving it a try later this week.

Looks super floofy! Looks like great wicking. I remember reading a post a long time ago about a guy pulling over to the side of the road near a cotton field, snagging a piece and loving it, LOL!

I've use natural combed cotton, I like it. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than "cotton bacon" which is basically the same stuff.

Well, this stuff sucks. It just won't f'ing wick.

Looks promising:

Tucked in nicely. Not too loose, not too tight:

I primed and primed and primed. At first the juice just sat on top of the cotton, then sunk in a little bit. I primed some more, until I notice juice running out the sides of the RBA and still white in the wick. Here's how it looked after trying to prime it. Looks like Bride Of Frankenstein's hair:

At least I only paid 99¢ for it.

Stuff looks legit. That's how mine looked before I boiled and let dry.

I received this stuff from a buy:

Not sure if it's rayon or cotton. Wicks really fast but a pita to stuff in a coil. Texture is slippery and hard to twist.

If it's slippery then its definitely a synthetic, not cotton. Probably rayon like you said.

Looks like Rayon to me. I have the same stuff.

What is the boiling process? I have Japanese organic cotton and it never wants to wick right, it always tears as I'm threading through the coils. So frustrating

Sounds like your cotton is too tight and/or cut in the wrong direction.

Looks interesting! I just can't figure out why the unformed cotton I have won't wick.
