New, but looking to upgrade. Joytech eGo ONE or Eleaf iStick 30w?

Hey guys,

Just got into vaping. Found a good deal on a "starter kit" that contained a eo-one battery and some kind of Aspire tank. After vaping about 2 weeks on it, I found I really loved it and it helped me cut my bad habit of dipping Copenhagen.

I'm ready to move up to something a little more "advanced" to produce some more vapor. I was looking at the Eleaf iStick 30w and the eGo ONE. My price range is around $50-$75 (trying to keep it as cheap as possible). I am kind of a casual vapor and a student so I would walk around campus with my vape. I found that my starter kit was small and convenient so I can put it in my pocket, and take it out when I wanted a hit. The Eleaf iStick looks like it might be kinda bulky to carry around "on-the-go". Another thing I noticed is the eGo ONE comes in kinda a complete kit, whereas the iStick you have to buy that and then a seperate kind of tank on the side. I have no experience vaping on different Volts or Wattage.

If you guys have any suggestions on a good kit to upgrade to, please let me know. All answers are appreciated!

I think you already know what you want to buy, since you don't wanna mess around the wattage/volts, ego one complete set....
Do more research about variable wattage and voltage, Vaping is trial an error especially when ur beginning...
The aspire cf mod is another like the ego one..do more research about safety, ohms law, watts, volts so you don't waste money..

Istick and eGo one tank.

Not a bad combo.

I have the i stick 20 & 50 and put a nautilus mini on the 20 and subtank nano on the 50. They are both combinations that I would recommend without a 2nd thought.

I am new to vamping as well (2 weeks) and just "upgraded" from a basic starter kit. I bought the 30w Istick and the Kanger Subtank Mini. I am very happy with the 30w Istick. I am on 2 full days of vaping with it and I have not had to charge it yet. I am still trying different settings and juices with my Subtank mini. I have not found a perfect combo that makes me 100% happy yet but it's only been 2 days. Good luck.

I was the same boat as you are in when I got my first variable wattage/voltage device -MVP 20w- but after trying different levels on 2 different tanks and different juices, I finally found what I like. So you'll get there.

I didn't know much about wattage/voltage when I first got my mod and after having one and reading up on it I understand it a little better.
If you want to try variable wattage/voltage then the iStick 30w is great and it's a great beginner device, my friend has it and she loves it so much. As far as on-the-go, it's really compact and fits nice and hidden in your hand, just the tank sticks out obviously. With her small hands it is a great fit so it's not bulky at all. It's actually the next device I plan to purchase with a Kanger SubTank Mini.

MVS has them on sale right now the whole kit for $37 and then you can choose what tank you want. Shipping doesn't take long either - I got my MVP 20w from there in about 3 days.
As far as the eGo One, I can't say much about it because I don't have one or know anyone that does, but from what I heard it's a great device as well. What I can say is do your homework on this and watch either reviews on youtube on both of theses mods and read up on here about them too.

What I would really suggest is the Sigelei 30 watt mini from 101vape $37

A good battery <$10.

You still order the eGo one tank $<17

A five pack of heads $20

You forgot the charger. ;)

Nope, I most certainly not forget the charger as it has a USB connected internal charger that works just fine!:D:p:D

I keep trying to tell the VU peanut gallery that I am just not another pretty face,

Ron J.png

And on occasion I actually know what I am talking about!

And to you Mr. Nuenerball, I have only this to say to you for doubting my good will and expertise with the APV at hand....................

Bill.jpg

However while all of the above about this APV is true, like everything else in our vaping world, a real charger with a spare battery so you can swap them out during longer than usual vaping days is indeed a plus. And a good recommendation from you Mr. Ball:D

I have the ego one as my upgrade from CE4-egoT and I absolutely am LOVING it. It's powerful enough - takes a learning curve to vape coming from the CE4 because it's easier to puff on, but I don't have to mess with voltage (eventually I'll upgrade because this is becoming hobbyist for me), you get 2 different atomizer heads so you can figure out what you like, 2 drip tips, it plugs into an android type charger, the battery (I have the 2200mAh) lasts almost two days of chain vaping, 2.5ml SS tank with glass windows (the only thing I don't like is that it's a little annoying to fill the tank without a super skinny dropper), and you pretty much buy whatever tank you want to put on it with a 510 threading. It's small enough to fit in your pocket and heavy enough that ... well idk but I like the heaviness of it, haha. It charges decently fast. and it's sleek and nice to look at. and comes in different colors. I have magic blue, but I've seen red, silver, black, and white. they also have a 1100mAh which is shorter and stockier than the 2200mAh, and ego one mini which is pretty tiny like almost cigarette length but fatter with an 850mAh battery. They all run around 45-60 for the kit. I got mine at vapordna and used a $10 off coupon code I found on google and bought eliquid for basically free (total ended up being a dollar more than the ego one by itself with the 3/$12 millenium potion juice which actually ended up being pretty good for a cheap liquid. - had to make up the $10 off for free shipping)
big clouds, good flavor, ease of use, nice size on the smaller side. <3

I just started vaping on Wednesday because I wanted to get off cigarettes and when I went into my local smoke shop and told them what I wanted (cheap, portable, thick smoke) they jumped right to the eGo One. I've taken hits off of my friends custom tanks that they built specifically to create huge clouds, and I was worried that I wouldn't get the same kind of vape off of something I didn't custom build. However, the eGo One did not disappoint.

The one thing I will say is don't go for the cheap juices. The guy who sold me my eGo one recommended me some juice that was $6 for 10ml with nicotine at 12mg. When I hit that I thought I was going to die. Even my friend who was an experienced vaper choked when he tried it out. I went to another smoke shop and told them what was in my tank and they told me that higher quality juice plus lower nicotine content would solve the problem and they were absolutely right. I picked up some Tarot Labs juice (33ml/$20) with 3mg of nicotine and it's absolutely amazing. I'm pretty happy with my choice.

I'd say it depends on the cheap juice. The coughing was probably from a higher pg and the 12mg, I've been using higher VG 6 mg of nic and when I tried a 12 even w/100% VG, I about died. Its was terrible, and that was actually one of the fancier $12/15ml brands, I've been noticing the only real difference in liquid higher end v. cheap is flavoring, and some cheap brands areare really good. A lot of people go for the "get what you pay for" especially people selling, one reason i dont like many shops. my personal experience...Well I use my cheap stuff and the expensive ones are just sitting there. I'm thinking about sub-ohming the fancys to see if that makes a difference.
I don't agree with the recommendations for new smokers to start at a high level of nicotine that's all over the quitting sites, if you check websites that sell cigarettes they list the nic mg and most are about 7-8 and doing some research I found you only get 1-2 from that when you smoke it, I have cigs from the duty free that list nic and tar and they say 7mg right on the box (required a lot internationally to list nic and tar and have mega huge warning labels on cigs). So I think 12 should probably be the highest, I know some people prefer more but I don't think its necessary unless you were chain smoking to get that amount before. I'm starting my dad off on 6 when i get him to switch, maybe 12 @ casinos haha he gamble-chain-smokes. I think my uncle could probably do 12, but if a person doesnt smoke a ton its going to mean nausea and headaches I think. Unless they can take one or two capes and put it down, it makes me happy and tastes good so I'm kind of a bored chain vaper lol

33ml/$20 is a pretty good priceprice for a higher grade juice, I'm going to have to check out that brand Tarot and see if they change my mind about bigger labels :)

It's a thicker juice and produces a really thick smoke which is what I'm after. I tested half the flavors they have on the market and, despite how picky I am, I enjoyed them all (one even tasted like a candy cane and though I hate candy canes, I loved the flavor). All their flavors are fairly subtle so I don't feel nauseous after vaping awhile like some sweet flavors do to me.

Awesome! Sounds like a super high VG if not max. I'll definitely have to give them a try. Googling now... :D

FYI, looked on their personal site www.tarotlabs.com they have the 33ml bottle for $17.95! See if this is the same you have :)
