Reload clone

So I got my Reload clone from Fasttech yesterday. I thought I would try out the much cheaper clone before I shelled out for an expensive real one. I built my coils and wicked it, but I don't really care for how it works. It's a pretty tight draw and kind of leaky.

So how do the authentic Reloads perform? All I have to compare the real deal to is this clone. Based on the performance of the clone I don't think I want to spend the money on an authentic. Am I comparing apples to oranges and does the authentic work better? Or should I keep my money under the mattress?

Footoon Aqua Reboot supposedly is super flavor/comparable to Reload, from what I've seen. 1/2 the price, but I haven't used either just thought I'd throw that out here.

The reload is a slightly restricted airflow kind of deal, but for me it results in insane density and flavor. I also have never had any leaking issues on my authentic reload. It's just a personal preference thing, but for me the flavor and density on the reload cannot be beat. The slightly restricted airflow isn't an issue for me, itll still do a great lung hit with no issues. Coil positioning and wicking technique are of course important but the authentic just straight up works well for me. Money well spent in my book, but everyone's different.

The aqua reboot is good, and more air, but I would not say better than the reload. I have reviews for both on the YouTube channel if OP is interested

I've had both, the Authentic has better air flow. The Authentic isn't a Clouds Bro super airy RDA though and has a slightly tight draw which is one of the reasons it has great flavor. For me the draw is perfect.

The tsunsmi is much better than the clone reload.

Most of my builds I'd use in a dual core parallel build won't fit the reload.

I have both authentic and clones of the Reload RTA and RDAs (v1.5). Quality and airflow much better on the authentic obviously. Threading is a bit nicer for the RTA and o-ring tolerance better for the authentic RDA.

Their RTA and RDA are the only things I use on a daily basis for what it's worth, all my others sit on the shelf :)

I'll tell you that after messing with a Petri, Kylin, Ammit, Troll, and countless others, the Reload takes the cake 10-fold IMO. Airflow can be increased by raising your coils a bit on it, but I prefer my coils low and directly over the airflow for better flavor.

Also if it is leaky, before juicing the wick, push each cotton piece slightly to the side from the middle:

This is usually where it tends to leak from if the sides of the channels are not full with cotton.

That wicking is so... perfect, really, it's like wick porn

Something I tell myself for wicking Any tank - make a wall between the juice and the airflow

Just started vaping on my authentic reload got for my birthday... the draw is absolutely spot on how I like it ...the vapour production is excellent (very dense clouds) It’s really damn nice...still think Exo has better flavour though, although it’s no match in quality ....but I need to dabble a lot more first to settle on the flavour front

It’s really forgiving wicking as well

Hahahaha

You have the Exo meg don’t you? If you like it’s draw you’ll love the reload too very similar but the reload draw is more satisfying you get a rich dense vapour after every pull, I shit you not it’s almost as dense at the 30mm deathtrap is and that only requires a couple of tokes to fog up a room.

I’m still trying to find a dual coil tank to knock the Exo off my top flavour spot ...asked @AnthonyLouis to share his favourite build for it so when I next build, I can slap the same coils and how he positions them

Bought the bravo and manta as well haven’t tried them yet ....meh damn review backlog ...think I’ll be keeping this in rotation for quite a while now ...it’s made me want to buy the reload RDA BF as well ...if it’s draw is also tighter it’ll be right up my street

Anyone who has the RDA variant is the draw similar?

Yeah, minus the fill cap o-ring because it was always stuck, so I have to be careful about the juice flow control staying closed or else it will leave a puddle  sorry for off-topic

my favorite rta for larger builds...even after losing the small glass, single coil deck, and removing an o-ring completely - still works lol

What meg said quoted below - there is a mega thread somewhere for it

It’s not perfect, it has its flaws but I love it ...personally prefer its dual coil deck over its single coil deck (but the fact it has both is a big bonus) ...neither deck requires huge coils 3mm ID will do, I personally like fused Clapton’s on it but it’ll take bigger like meg said

The stock coils that came with it vape really well and I normally never use stock coils

510 drip tip of your own choosing because the stock one is a bit pants

Folks had probs with the black version so stick with SS version

The top cap is really thin so don’t over tighten it, it can be pig to undo if you gorilla it. I stop as soon as the jfc moves.

It can be tricky to adjust the afc once screwed into the mod...I set it where I like it first then screw down

You might notice a bit of condensation seeping under the base after a few days, I even get it around the 510 pin on mine (very very minor)

Sorry for adding to off topic :p ...damn and I’m supposed to be a mod (I’ll pm myself and kick my own ass)

The Authentic Reload is seriously my favorite RDA...better than my Ruby, My own RDA (KT-X), Goons, TM24 and everything else IMO..
The flavor is unreal and the airflow is perfect wide open. I use 4 Core Aliens (28g/36g All SS, 4 Wraps/3mm ID) but I mainly use Mech Mods and Squonkers. The Defiant DS with the Reload is a perfect match. For regulated mods I would get a Gaia RDTA and put some 3 core KA1 Aliens in it, thats also the best flavor RDTA IMO (its not pretty though) but my opinions are based on performance more than aesthetics.

Some shots Ive taken out of the trash...

I highly suggest anyone that likes the Reload to try the Gaia RDTA, Use a Conspiracy/TM24/Skywalker topped with a Gorge Topcap on those decks, Cuete RDA (it likes 5/6 wrap coils though).

I have an authentic and junky clone. The air flow is just plain goofy it vapes nothing like the authentic . IMO the reload is the best rta on the planet. Its right up there with the best rda's. I bought mine used on eBay for $50. Best $50 I ever spent.

Your pics make me feel like the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. Sure I might get close to nice champion like coils but always choke in the first round...

However my Reload BF RDA besides my Entheon are the only RDAs I use now. Period.
