Looking at both mods. Is there a major difference between them besides the fact you could use 2 or 3 cells? What are you opinions on the two?

One difference I can think of is with the rx200s you only need 1 set of 3 married 18560 batteries. With the rx2/3 you will need the 3 set + an additional set of 2 married 18650's.

I would prefer using 3 batteries anyway, but I wonder if they improved anything else. People have always complained about the 510 connector and what not. As well as other small things.

As far as I know the 510 is the same, I have read that Wismec even goes on to say that using a SMOK tank on there device voids the warranty. The last part was what I had read on here somewhere but it is a known problem with the 510 connection. I am pretty sure I have placed my Smok tanks on there plenty of times and no problem, there are some tanks that fall out of TC mode for me though so I just use it in power more 75% of the time.

The rx2/3 seems to have a gap at the battery door according to a YT reviewer. Another con he pointed out was that the button was a bit hard to press (button to release the single 18650 battery). Also he had to play around to get the device to switch on when the 3rd battery was inserted. If memory serves me correct, the reviewer was Vapin Heathen

And see, those are lots of small cons that add up. I may just get the RX200s instead. I bet the price will even go down further because the RX2/3 is out now as well! (Granted online shops don't all stop selling the RX200s)

EDIT: Just watched his video, and yea. I'm probably not gonna get the 2/3. If it's that difficult to get it to recognize the third cell, I'm better off getting the 200s. Also, hope he got that fly haha

I was just at ecig.com and they have the RX200S for 39.95 but use the coupon code: Josh to drop the price to about $36. Free shipping doesn't start until $75 but there shipping rates are usually pretty reasonable.

ecig.com is a very reputable vendor, they ship out of Oklahoma. Have bought so much from them it would have been cheaper to just offer to buy the company :D

I just received my RX200S today from ecig.com. Ordered Thursday, shipped Friday and received today.

This is my first mod with external batteries. I really like it. I'm using it with a Crown tank and really enjoying both.

WOW this is such a coincidence. I'm in the same situation! This will be my first mod with external batteries, my current one is internal. I am also using a crown tank (first version) and was hoping the 510 connector would have no issue with my crown. I'm glad to know the crown works with the RX200s! You're using the first Uwell Crown as well right?

Out of curiosity, how much nic is your juice? I currently use 12 now that I'm into sub ohming, used to use 24. With a device as potentially powerful as the RX200s, is 12 over kill to most people?

I'm also using the original Crown tank. It seems to work perfectly on the RX after a half day usage. But, I'm already finding that it guzzles juice which seems to be a common theme for subohm tanks.

Since I'm kinda new to vaping I'm not sure I can help on the nic level. I had been using 12mg and 6mg nic for M2L in my Nautilus tanks. I hit the 12mg off and on in the day. I'm using 6mg in the Crown tank. With the amount of juice usage I would not be surprised if I decide to drop that level to 3mg in the near future.

BTW, I am using the .5 Ohm coil in the Crown at 65 watts and that seems to be the spot for me not to get burning hot draws or weak dry draws. Great flavor from my juices. :)

Hope you both have external chargers to go with the external batteries the RX is not safe to charge in.

Yes, I got an Eleaf that charges 4 batteries at a time. Also, labeled my 6 batteries to keep track of them and use them in the same groups.

Yea I'll most likely be getting an Xtar vc4 with my setup. Unless I come across an even better charger.

I think ecig has the efest 6 bay charger on sale as well. The nice thing about that charger is it can chatge 3 batteries at 1 amp instead of 0.50 amp

    http://www.ecig.com/efest-luc-blu6-6-bay-charger.html
    Efest LUC Blu6 - 6 Bay Charger $29.95

    http://www.ecig.com/xtar-vc4-charger.html?___SID=U
    XTAR VC4 - 4 Bay Charger $17.99

    http://www.ecig.com/nitecore-d4-battery-charger.html?___SID=U
    Nitecore Digicharger D4 $23.74

I have all three and only have one complaint.
On the XTAR VC4 it is difficult to grab the batteries to remove them.
You have to use your fingernail to get it out or just try to grip the face of the battery.
The other two chargers have room across the top of the battery to get your finger on it to remove.

Honestly, out of the three, I'm liking the efest luc charger. It has Bluetooth capability, as well as lets you charge at different currents? Hmm...... Does it plug directly into the wall without a need for an adapter? And is efest a good brand for chargers? I'm personally wary of their cells, won't use em. But how's the charger?

EDIT: I liked the Nitecore, but the charge current for 3 cells is low..... The Xtar sounded great but I could see it tearing wraps like there's no tomorrow lol

My LUC V4 came with a wall plug and car charger. The voltage into the charger is obviously dropped to less than 120v, probably 12v. It also has selectable charging current. Though, I would not charge these batteries at higher than .5 Amp except on rare occasions. Instead get double the amount of batteries you would need and always have a set on the charger. Lower current charging is generally better for batteries.

The Nitecore drops it down to lower than 0.5A right? I wonder how much difference that really makes in charging time. How is the Bluetooth function of the Efest? Tried it at all? And has the Efest been reliable enough to use as an everyday charger all the time?

Wish I could answer those questions for you. But, I've only had my charger for a day. :) Sorry.
Also, the V4 doesn't have bluetooth. Just an led array at the top that shows voltage, charging condition and charge level.

For charge level, I'm sure it's low enough at .5 Amp. But, if you have the time then certainly charge at a lower level. It won't hurt.

The efest and nitecores come with a STANDARD wall plug.
The XTAR has that box at the end of the plug on wall side.
The XTAR and Efest BOTH stay lit up even with no batteries in them.....forever.
The nitecore powers off with no batteries in it.
The efest works great, unlike their batteries.
The Bluetooth I cannot vouch for because I can't come up with any reason to test it.
It sits close enough to me I can reach it, no need to use my phone to view or change settings.

The nitecore will drop to .375 if I recall.
The slow charge is better for them.
With all 4 bays full it takes 3-4 hours if all start drained.
    Not tested the Bluetooth.
I use all three chargers daily/overnight.
    I trust all three.
    I like the nitecore personally.

All good options. At .375A do fully drained batteries take a super long time as opposed to 0.5A? Or is it little difference. I'm teetering between the Efest and the Nitecore now.

Depending on what batteries you have.
    Between 2 - 4 hours.
I have about 60 batteries so I don't pay too close attention to how long it takes but the nitecore tells you how long it took.

    Comparing the nitecore and efest:
    Pros for efest;
    efest charges 6 batteries
you can change the amperage you're charging at via Bluetooth
    Cons for efest;
Even once you remove the batteries from the charger, the display stays lit up for eternity, you have to unplug it to turn it off.
    Pros for nitecore;
displays how long it took to charge
once you remove the charged batteries the display goes off.
    Cons for noitecore;
.....I've had 2 of them for over a year and cannot find and cons.

I love my blu 6 efest charger I've had it over a year and it has worked flawlessly and I often charge st 2 Amps or 6 batts at a time.

Also you CAN turn off the display and all the lights by pressing the function button 1x.

That was the rumor at first but unfortunately the RX200 and 200S 510 are about the same, actually one reviewer who keeps a database of all 510 connections has the RX200S as having shorter travel than the RX200. It has not been a problem for me, just make sure you are not cranking your atties on super tight if it is leaving a gap, if you try a lot of force you can damage the 510. From that I have heard it is Smok tanks with the longer 510 that can be a problem but I have not had that experience.

With the chargers I have both the Blu6 and Xtar VC4 and there both great but I prefer the Blu6 as it is much more versatile. The VC4 also does not come with a wall adapter, I was using the 2amp wall adapter for my Samsung Pro tablet for the Xtar until I found a killer deal on the sold separately Xtar 2.1 amp wall adapter. I had bought a iclever 2 amp wall adapter for the VC4 from amazon but the VC4 would sometimes charge at 1amp and other times drop out of that and charge at 0.50amps with that thing. The VC4 also only charges at 1 amp if you are using a 2amp wall adapter on the 2 outside bays, the 2 inside are limited to 0.50 amps only. Like someone already posted it is best to charge at 0.50 amps, better for the battery over the long run. Sometimes when I am in a hurry though I can charge up to 2 batteries at 2 amp with the Blu6, you don't have that option with the VC4.

RX2/3 kind of brakes married batteries unless you have a 3 set AND a different pair.

Well there is two problems with the RX/200S (and even the DNA) They have to use very small springs because of the mounting point of the 510 and the placement of the batteries and the screen (this is why some have changed the Form factor or with the Triade moved the 510 and gave raised it up again.

This always meant that long pins atty's would not sit flush. Which would cause people to try to tighten it a bit. On the RX200 The spring was really weak and would jam when doing this. That is the RX defect, it didn't take much effort on top of the normal screwing in of an atty for the pin to jam. The 200S has a better spring. Doesn't allow it to travel as far and it means more atty's won't sit flush (a con but not a defect). But it doesn't jam or jam nearly as much as the RX200. All of which is comedic because it was really the introduction and massive sales of the RX at such a reduced cost compared to any 100w+ device that got other companies to release more capable atty's and helped push the RTA crazy we have now, where pin contact and strength matters the most. All of which lead to these atty's having pins that would cause the 510 to jam.

    kind of.
That simply blanks or darkens the screen.
It is still on and you can still see it if you look hard enough.
I'd like it to totally power off or go into "sleep" mode or similar like the nitecore does.

I just hope the mod plays nice with my crown. I love my crown, and if I get a new tank, most likely a Crown 2! Idk, I'm about to drop about $100 on the whole setup. The mod, a charger, and 3 18650 Samsung 25r cells. So I'll be good as long as it supports my tank and flush at that. Hopefully!

Update! So I finally bought all my vape gear! Got the Efest LUC Blu6 charger, a red and black RX200s mod (both from ecig.com) and 2 Samsung 25R 18650s! (from www.liionwholesale.com)

Have you noticed with the efest blu6 that when pushing the buttons if you push them quickly they won't work. Like you have to press and hold for a milli second to get them to register???

Haven't noticed yet first hand, still waiting for it to ship to me, but I HAVE noticed it in literally EVERY review of the charger for sure! It takes a solid press and hold for it to register that it was pressed. Not too big a con to me as long as it works and the buttons are durable. Fingers crossed, I got it because of it's Bluetooth functionality mostly, that sold me. Such a sweet feature that I'm sure I'll get much use out of!

Yeah don't get me wrong it's a badass charger. I love this charger. I've owned a nitecore i4 before the blu6 and the blu6 blows it out of the water. So many more features plus 6 slots. You will like it don't worry. I was just curious if it was just mine or they all were like that. I may order another one as a backup. 30 bucks is a hell of a deal..

I got my order today, and the 18650s take a painfully long time to charge at 0.5A! Is charging them at 1A bad for the batteries life? Does it cut it down drastically?

I have been charging my LG and ENOOK 18650s on either 0.5A or 1A, it does not even matter where you charge your units at.. what matters most is how you treat them on/off the Vape Mod you are using, imho. Cheers ;)

I usually charge mine at .5 amps because I have a lot of batteries and am not waiting on them to charge. I don't think a 1 amp charge will hurt them. I know these LG batteries I have manufacturer specs that say they can be charged up to 4 amps. So depending on battery, 1 amp won't hurt them.

Just my experience, but AVOID the 2/3. I run a vape store and we have had 3 out of 6 returned because the third battery cover does not make contact properly. It seems the little contact that is supposed to make it a 3 battery mod is easily pushed out of place when you put the cover on. We stopped carrying them because of this. Until they improve the design, we will not sell them.

I saw a YouTube review where someone said that it doesn't always register the third battery, but didn't know it was this much of an issue! Thanks for the info! I got the RX200S anyways and have no complaints about it, love it!

May sound odd or strange but I bought the RX2/3 with the intent to use it in 2 battery mode simply based on size and shape.
I've had it for a while now and have never even tried the 3rd battery option.
There are a million other 2 battery mods out there but none the shape of this one.
I've also read/watched the reviews stating the 3rd battery sometimes is an issue, guess I'll never know.
When I need a 3 battery mod I just grab the Primus, Spartans, Istick TC200, or one of the RX200 from the shelf.
    (normally the Primus)

Yea it's weird, I've never seen the 2/3 in person! Is it a metal body like the RX200S? Is the screen the same as the S? Idk, the RX200S is kind of big and kind of bulky for sure, I had to get used to it. But I can't argue with the performance of this thing! Once you get past the size and weight, it's a really nice device!
