Well went ahead and bought all the supplies to give mixing my own a try. The one thing I did is on the PG/VG is bought it already pre mixed as base with 3mg nic 70/30. Looking at this recipe by Sandman, I'm unsure how much of the base to use or adjust the formula. Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you get a scale that weighs in grams, to a precision of .01 gram? You need one to use a recipe in this format, or you need to buy syringes or a graduated cylinder, or you need to convert the recipe to display drops instead of grams.
Sandman's recipe is for a 100ml bottle. If that isn't the size you're mixing, first thing you'd need to do (after you sign up for an ELR account) is go to his recipe, click the blue box with the little wrench in it, and select "Adapt This."
This action will copy Sandman's recipe into your recipes library, and will allow you to make changes and save that new version as your own.
Put in your size bottle, plus the parameters 3mg for nic, 70 for VG, 30 for PG. Use 70 VG and 30 PG as bases for the nicotine, too.
Drip each flavor into your empty mixing bottle in the amount your new recipe specifies.
When all flavors are in, fill the bottle to within about 3/4 inch of the top with your base/nic mixture. Cap it tightly and start shaking. Tilt the bottle back and forth, shake it end to end and side to side, roll it around, you want to continue this for at least several minutes. Give the mix a good shake again and again over the next couple of days. Store it in a cool, dark place.
Looking at this particular recipe, I wouldn't even taste it for at least 5 or 6 days. Bakeries need steep time, and this one will only get better up to about 2.5 to 3 weeks.
Mixing this way does not give you exactly 3mg, 30/70, but it's very very close. I doubt you'll ever notice the difference, especially since this recipe only uses 14% flavoring. Might be worth buying some VG and adjusting it if the recipe was at 30%.
