sigelei 150 watt tc with ni200 or titanium

I just bought a sigelei 150 watt with temp control and was wondering if I have to use ni200 wire for the temp control to work. I have no idea how the temp control works and have only used kanthal. Can someone explain to a temp control beginner how it works and the difference between kanthal and ni200? Thanks for any help! Also is titanium better than ni200?

Sigelei 150 does not do titanium wire, only kanthal or ni200.

You can use titanium in any TC mod. If there is no setting for Ti, use the Ni setting and just turn the temp down at least 100 degrees (I generally start around 300f and work up).

I find titanium much easier to work with than nickel, which is why I use it all the time. Also you can make contact coils with Ti, whereas you have to have nickel spaced for best results.
