Simple Coil Jig

I ran across this video the other day and it's just such a simple solution to wrapping coils. And and if you want larger coils you just have several sizes of wires bent to use as the jig. Below is a picture of it and the video showing how simple it works.

Part of what amazes me is this was posted last year only has a few hundred views and has somehow flown under the vape radar while vapers are spending an average of $20 for coil jigs this can be made by anyone for under $1. Enjoy

Same coils, after torching.

1. slide coils off screwdriver
2. pinch coils with SS/Ceramic forceps
3. flambe the sucka. =)

Also, homemade twisted 33 gauge coils are simple.

Normally I make em the same way as you CaFF, I have almoste the same set of screwdrivers as you. I'm also using some different small sizes ss welding rods, think I'm maby gonna use a couple of them to make some of those coil jigs.

Cool. I got mine from my dad who had put them on a yard sale. :)

I have no problem with people using jigs, I just like things simplified I guess. I already have the screwdriver set, may a well just use 'em.

Ha..I'm just sitting here drinking a beer and watching Nascar...but now I am tempted to make some coils for my new TOBH clone while I watch.

Wouldn't even have to leave my chair...

Me, I use a nail to wrap the coil and after I attach it to the deck and check the resistance, I set the power to 7 watts, apply power until the coil glows red and after releasing the power button I pinch the coils. Works like a charm.

That is awesome. Gotta make a jig so I can build coils with my eyes closed. That's pretty damn cool and better than the 25$ one.
