Slow forum? Log out then log back in!

VU has been really slow for many weeks for me. Got the point of being very frustrating and unusable. Would take 10-30 seconds for a page to load in. Then I decided to log out then log back in because I had no other solutions left, and BOOOOM, the forum is as fast as any other site.

No idea how logging out /in again could fix a speed issue, but it worked wonders for me. Nothing to lose by trying it.

I have noticed that too. I usually close everything (including my browser) every night but sometimes forget. When I'm on VU, it shows that I'm still logged in but actually I'm not (refresh the page and I'm no longer logged in) Log in and it works fine.

Spoke too soon. Back to slow again today but not as bad as before. I think this forum is hosted off-shore.
