Hello, firstly I would like to say hi to all fellow vapers ;)

Secondly I wanted to ask people more experienced than me for an advice, ive been vaping for quite a while now and fell in love with SMOK products and their tanks so first of all i was using baby beast which was great but I wanted something a bit bigger and with more customization so i went with big baby beast then i gave it to my girlfriend and I bought myself a TFV12 and loved the single coil on this device but then i wanted to give a go at the RBA business...

Everything would be perfect if there would be any flavour...

I am using double deck for it and I have used many coil types of 26g kanthal... Ive used claptons which had ridiculous ramp up time but as well no flavour, i have used twisted, parallel and just a standard one wire coil but nothing helps... 7 wraps and still nothing... Used so much wire and no succes. I tried all sorts of tricks to try and fix it such as spacing coils or compressing them, i have tried to lower coils more to air holes, my wicking is on point after so many times i have done it in hope of fixing the issue. Coils dont have any hot spots or anything, i am running very low on ideas... I am using 80/20 vg/pg liquid which on every other tanks tastes brilliant but not on this one...

Could the liquid be the problem with the rba? Should i invest into higher pg juice?

Additionally i do not suffer from a vapers tongue because i was Cleaning the tank frequently with changing juice after every rebuild.

Tried upping and lowering wattage, airflow, priming the coil well and firing them to dry and saturating them again etc...

Right now im using single coil wire 8 wraps at 0.6ohm

I am using Cotton bacon 2.0 for my wicks and all i get is rich cloud but next to 0 taste... Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you for consideration and better late than never - happy 2018 guys. ;)

Right off the bet I'll say I do hate smok and while I have the bby and big bby I skipped the tfv12 and any upcoming products. Therefore I can't really comment on the tank itself, but have you played around with the airflow? Sometimes restricting it a bit can help with flavor. Did you try that juice in your tanks prior and know what it tastes like, or did you switch the brand etc? Wicking is and always will be important, it doesn't matter how many times you've done it, the question is did you fluff it enough? Tried less cotton to see if that changes? Increased/decreased watt/temperature to see if you get a different result?

I don't use kanthal, for me stainless steel is all I need for flavor, might want to try that after testing everything above. But I most likely think its the tfv12, its hard for me not being biased but I tried lol.

I've had all the Smok tanks before going back to drippers...like eStorm, I hate all things Smok but the tfv12 is a cloud chaser tank...yes, you can play with the airflow to give you more flavor but it's just not a flavor chasing tank...let me ask you, if you can build on the rba that comes with it, why not go out and get yourself a good rta that has alot more versatility, like the Kylin? Or the serpent? I think you'll be much happier and 1/2 your battle is over since you already know how to build and wick an rba

After countless tries i finally managed to tweak it right... Had to lower coils as much as possible to the airflow slots and use a lot less wick which i only stuff to about half of the juice slot and fluffed it out even more. Finally chucking some flavour at me... But i can See that i need to change a tank for another rta because i am a full on cloud chaser but want to try the other Side of vaping and get on with flavour haha

    Is kylin v2 any good?

I think all in all big baby beast rba section would be better for flavour chasing because the deck is smaller and chamber as well on that. I loved my BBB but my Gf is on it now

    Thanks

You would love the Kylin...there is a learning curve that comes with all rta's when it comes to wicking but the wick ports on the Kylin are sooo huge, you won't have a tough time. Check out the YouTube videos on it, honestly, it blows all the other rtas out of the water (well, with the exception of the Modfather). And Vandy Vapes has the best customer service that I've ever seen. On the V1, I emailed them and told them mine seemed to be leaking and asked them if they knew what I was doing wrong. The next day they asked me my shipping address and 3 days later I had a brand new v2 deck in my mailbox for nothing! Try the kylin, you can't go wrong, imo...and with the postless deck, your builds are endless

    Thank you mate

After a bit of research I was thinking to move onto Kylin V2 version. Heard so many good opinions on it and really want to try it. Well... From smok ill Just have to keep the alien mod because it works flawlessly and will have yo look into the Kylin ;)

Kylin should be a great addition for you, especially when switching from smok lol. You can't go wrong with vandy vape it seems, I do own a couple of the last released products and enjoy them very much, and as postalangel pointed out, there customer service is extremely fast, polite and helpful.

Got my staggered fused claptons in Ss316l in the post today popped them in the rba reading 0.129 ohm and i must admit that flavour is incredible with a new 50/50 juice! I think I won't be coming back to kanthal any time soon. Juice is a lot thinner so had to put a lot more wick into the coils.

I have to check the TC settings to See how well it performs.

    ;)
