A vape blew up in a guy’s pocket, burning the shit out of his leg and most likely his junk. Probably did something stupid, like building well out of CDR on a mech with a shitty battery and pocketing it, who knows but it made the news and the vape gets blamed for his ignorance/stupidity.

The video following that one is even worse. 888% increase in vaping between 2011 and 2015. Well shit. At the same time 40% decrease in smoking, mentioned as a side note, but of course not in their graphic. Now I don't know what the figures for smokers in North Carolina were, or vapers in 2011 for that matter, but I bet 40% of smokers were a hell of a lot more in absolute numbers than the 888% increase in vaping. Dumbasses.

I'm quite glad that over here in the UK the tobacco lobby isn't quite as influential and that parliament was actually listening to expert advice. They are even going as far as considering offering vaping as a smoking cessation aid, supported by the NHS (the national health service). Still a long way to go, but at least we're walking in the right direction.
