When I was under the mistaken impression the VTC5 was a 2500 mah 30 amp cell, I too believed that they were some sort of magical unicorns that shit ice cream and pissed the finest ale...but once I got it through my head they're basically 20 amp cells with similar specs to the readily available Samsung or LG, I stopped understanding what was so special about the Sonys.
