There is very little info other than on the website on the Taifun Scarabäus (Scarab) MOD
There is a Pro version , but I have the original.

"The new mechanical mod from SmokerStore: Taifun Skarabäus! The Skarabäus is made from Stainless Steel and completly made in Germany. With a diameter of 23 mm it fits perfect to Taifun GT, GT II and all other 23 mm atomizers. Of course there are 22 mm cones available to fit to 22 mm atomizers, too.

Its not a true mech, because it has some sort of circuit board inside. It is not regualted, not VU or VW.
I have a couple of them, bought them used and really love it. Its the best performing device I have.
It starts to decline in performance when my batteries get much lower than all my mechs. WHen I notice a decline, I check it on my charger and many times its still working great even below 3 volts. ( Not a habit , but sometimes I dont notice )
Anyone have or had one? Can anyone explain what makes this so different and in the future the circuit board goes, is it easy to fix or convert to full mech?
