Most of my vaping is single coil, I find it pretty satisfying. I tried dual coil with the avocado, I don't notice a huge difference.
Actually I do notice a bit but that's more to the design of the avocado (24 bottom airflow) with the single coil juice/plug installed. It runs right up to the top of the bell shaped cap and leaves a very small opening for the vapor to get around it and up through the drip tip in single coil configuration. What ends up happening, I get more frequent mouthfuls of juice. It's not a matter of air not coming through the coil plug since it has the dual airflow pass through built in.
I wouldn't consider myself a cloud chaser, flavor's more at the top of my priorities. If it doesn't taste good what's the point? Some cloud is preferable though for the satisfaction factor as a smoking cessation tool. It doesn't take heaps of smoke to give the lungs that 'full' feeling of getting a solid drag because it's so potent and heavy. Vapor being lighter and airier though I've noticed the same visual quantity of vapor in terms of cloud to a cigarette is a much lighter feeling. It's like it takes significantly more vapor to feel like I'm taking a 'drag' vs barely getting a 'sip'.
That's just my personal preference anyway. I've found I'm able to achieve that with a single coil though. A satisfying vape with less juice consumption, less wicking material, less wire use. As for single battery devices, eh. For that I prefer a dual 18650 for longer run times.
