What?..its badass. A .Flavor monster.. A "clouds bro" competition ready fog machine
You laughing too huh?..Ill show you all my undeniable modification skills and drill those air holes to 2.5mm then install a one of a kind custom home made 32g wrapped in 36g SS316 Clapton coil with some cotton bacon v2 cotton filling the entire available space around the coil..Clouds bro
Actually it's just Old School and there are a lot of MTL Vapers out there which this really would be a great option for them.
Pics, or it didn't happen! BTW, I just thought my old Patriot was small.
I have bunches of pics to get ready for..Just haven't felt like spending $300 on a new phone..my Samsung galaxy 4 active took a dump on me.Pics, or it didn't happen! BTW, I just thought my old Patriot was small.

I call it Tootie Puffer, I know I'm weirdThe term is "tootle puffer". NOT "toddle".
That first RDA I actually liked was an Igo-S, the real tiny one. The tight airflow was good, but I dislike side airflow, there's just not much flavor that way. And the lack of well made it a real pain.

I actually cracked up a little bit when I opened the OP's link, since I just received the two I added to my last FT order last week. The exact same RDAs!
Haven't had a chance to get them incorporated yet, but they should be great for testing flavor mixes. Just might have to drill that teensy airhole out a bit. Y'all laugh, but RDAs like this are the best way to build recipes.
I agree with you. The only *serious* downside is the total lack of well, but for testing flavors, who cares? It's just my own personal preference about the side airflow; just never found it very flavorful. Airhole *under* the coil is always better. And if the airhole is small enough, you don't even have to worry about drips getting into it causing gurgling/leaking -- 'course, cloud chasers wouldn't know, they need airholes approximately the size of my fist.

I know everyone is laughing...so I am likely to be laughed at (I can handle it)...but would this be good to put on my Pico to test new flavors? I don't have any experience w/ a RDA at all. This looks like you just add a new piece of cotton after a few puffs. ???It's a lot like the RDA I started with... but I disliked the total lack of well. Not bad for tasting, though.
Andria
Ya, totally. I couldn't imagine using this to actually vape, but when you're flavor testing, you don't need no stinkin' juice well.
I guess I'm not as strongly skeptical of side airflow, since that's what the Boreas has, and it's my baby which I love with all my heart. I particularly was interested in the OP's find for flavor testing since this RDA has just the one airflow hole on one side, which is kind of hard to find in RDAs these days. That's why I love my Trident Tugboat RDA clone for flavor testing, since it has the option to just have an open airflow hole on one side. The one I have it set to, though, is about three times larger than the one on this RDA, so I'll have to see if it's enough. Maybe I'll drill a second small airflow hole a bit lower down, to get some bottom airflow going.
For anyone on the fence about picking up this RDA giggle, they've fixed the issue with the loose o-rings that many users mentioned in the reviews on FT. Now it all fits together snug as you'd want.

I think this thread was posted in 2011 and just got stuck in the system till now
That is a clone of the old Phoenix ( III or IV? ) rda and they work great for testing new juices given the small chamber.
Nah. Andria would love a Phoenix - it had a screw on cap and a pin hole air draw.

But I'm looking up the Phoenix RDA, and most of the pics I'm seeing show those damned o-rings, not threads, and don't look a thing like the one you pictured above.
Andria
There have been at least 5 phoenixesesss. You are looking for a V1 or maybe a V2 as well.
2.4 ohms? ROFL! That's QUITE high...even for MTL....I build around 1omh for MTL, 1.5ohm MAX, anything higher just produces a trash quality vape....
Doubtful I'd love with it, with the side airflow, but it would be far more acceptable than most others.... It even appears to have a well.

Checked another photo. It has a well! It has a well!
I am so gonna find one of these for you!
Still has the side airflow though, which seriously detracts from the flavor. Just can't get any, with side airflow.

@AndriaD what is your ideal build in the magma? im pretty sure i saw a clone in the discount bin at my local shop, and i have been looking for a mtl rda to check out. will probably go grab that today. i like a tight draw for mtl. i am learning how to get a good vape on the kf5, but i think thats about as loose as i can go for mtl.
This thing is so frikkin' tiny! How much airflow control do you expect out of it? lol The coil is gonna be below, on top of, in the middle of air flow no matter how you place it.
Picky Picky Picky...
Thank you so much! I will see if I can find a YT vid to show me how to coil it.Specifically for testing flavors, I think I'd definitely recommend this. Haven't used it yet, but that's why I bought it. And I use a PICO for testing flavors as well, so you're on the right track.
Basically you'd just need to install a coil at first. I think 28 gauge kanthal is the thickest I'd use. I might end up using 30g when I sit down to get it set up. You should get many months of use out of that one coil. Between flavors you'll just remove and throw away the wick, rinse and dry the RDA, then put just the base back on your PICO and dry burn the coil. Then, it's ready to wick again. Super simple and efficient way to do it.
You won't need to use much cotton either, just enough for 4-5 vapes. Using an RDA like this is 100% the best way to create e-juice recipes, there's really no other way to do it.
Cool the silica wick in it will be worth more than the dripper! LOLSo here it is..Just don't trip over each others computer trying to get them and remember you saw it here first..I ordered 2 of them!!!!!!!!!

@AndriaD well i went in to ask about the magma and the dude gave it to me for free (it was apparently in the discount bin for so long it was headed for the garbage bin). i only have even gauges of wire, would you use 28 or 30 as a substitute?
