I made this for my personal collection about a month and a half ago when I made the Others. One of the side panels had a crack in it from the beginning which started to spread. Instead of just filling it with CA glue I decided to try a new to me technique (Freehand Inlay). So I crushed some stone and using a dremel cut out some grooves for the stone to sit in tried 3 types of adhesive to see what work best for me. Then sanded flush.
This is how it came out. Later on I am going to try on another an Inlay with a set pattern. So I am curious about what you fine people think about it. Don't worry you can not hurt my feelings. Do you think it looks to gaudy, messy, busy, takes away or adds to wood. Or just plain hate it. On the other hand do you like or love it. But can give me some tips on how to improve on it? Thanks for viewing.
