Call To Action - URGENT!!! SB 539 (the massive vape killing bill) is scheduled for a hearing this Thursday at 9am. If you can attend, please make plans to do so.

In the meantime, we need you on the phones and emailing!!! We need you to get on the phone! Call

800-382-9467 and tell the attendant:

"I'm calling to let Senator James Buck and the other members of the Commerce and Technology committee know that I strongly oppose SB 539 the regulation of e-liquids and would like them to reject it."

The attendant will take your info (name, address and phone number), and then will deliver the message to the chairman (Sen. Buck), the committee members AND your district's Senator.

After you've called, visit each of the committee member's webpages and click the Send Email link on the left hand side... and send them an email (direct links to pages are below, there is 10 committee members). Be sure to include the bill number, "SB 539 Regulation of e-liquids".

I became a vu member today after seeing this thread printed out in my local vape shop. Thank you for this call to action! I just hope it's not to late to get our message to them. Below is a copy of the email I sent each member associated with this bill.

I am writing to let you know I STRONGLY oppose SB 539 the regulation of eliquids. I smoked tobacco cigarettes for almost 30 years and tried everything on the market to quit. Since using e-cigarettes and the e-liquids this bill aims to regulate, I have not smoked a tobacco cigarette in over 6 months. I am breathing better, getting sick less often and have enjoyed other health benefits as well. I strongly urge you to reject this bill. It not only punishes people who are making great strides in taking their lives back from Big Tobacco companies, it will hinder if not flat out destroy many small businesses in our State. Thank you for your time and please REJECT THIS BILL!

** URGENT CALL TO ACTION ** SB 539 is getting its 2nd Reading in the Senate tomorrow, Thursday 2/5/15!!! Start calling the switchboard (317-232-9400) and ask that your Senator be informed that you oppose SB 539 in its current form and ask that they support the bill going to a study session so that small businesses can have a part in this discussion.
