The charge of your batteries will also run out quicker using lower ohm rated coils. If you do not mind a little
subjective advice from my experience so far, a .50 ohm rated coil suits
fine in most cases. I do attain a reasonable amount of vapor using such rated coils. Granted I'm using an RDA (also known as a Drip, dripper) and not an RDTA (also known as a Tank, clear-omizer).
I don't think it's that because I know a coil with more resistance will produce less vapor, but the kit comes with 2 additional coils and I tried both and neither one produces enough vapor.
You might want try charging the battery portion of the kit. I know that might sound belittling. It's not meant that way at all though. Often you'll get mods (the battery part of kits) that come with a minimal charge on them. Smok tech i.e., often has theirs come with around a half of a charge life on them. It's done for "display" and customer selling points It's also so vendors can push the fire button and see a light come on, "it works."
Don't let a brick and mortar vendor ever pull that stunt on you, instead of fixing stuff. If you're having trouble they need to be knowledgeable enough to help fix your gear, or offer to help send it back to manufacture. First one that tries that with you, take your gear and politely excuse yourself and leave. Don't ever deal with them again. You're the customer and your money they want, well then they better offer good service.
Another thing to check is the points of contact. I often get where the legs of my coil connect to the deck of RDA/RDTA too tight, or too loose. You'll find some atomizers are finicky like that. Takes a little jiggling and trail by error sometimes. If you're using "stock" (already made up coils or coil head assemblies) you might also have gotten a dud or few, that happens despite the wonders of computer/controlled manufacturing systems.
I mean honestly, computers can't foul up? Right. They're programmed by humans, or in most cases are ... we perfect? *chuckles*
Aside from physically taking your kit in hand, looking it over, this is about all I can think of that might be causing issues.
