Newbie here, hi everyone. I was intrigued by the ccell and all I had read about it. Particularly that it gives very pure flavour, I'm currently vaping some amazingly layered and subtle juices by Chefs Choice and was excited I would be tasting even more nuance. First off, primed in tank overnight. Triton 2 by the way. One youtuber said his sweet spot was 33.3 watts. I got a really really nasty hit. I dropped it and messed around until I settled at about 24 watts. There remained a weird taste, probably ceramic. So two myths down. Next tank I wanted to change flavours. Read everywhere you just put in the new juice, 4 puffs and your done. Clean fresh taste of new liquid. Nope. 3rd tank of new liquid I was still tasting the first and even a bit of ceramic still. Myth 3 down. Also by this time it was gurgling. Took out the coil, gave it a bit of a clean, wiping off excess juice, stuck a Q-tip down the air passage. noticed juice dregs were very dark caramel colored in the lip of the coil. Clearly juice itself was burnt. I cleaned best I could and dry burned. Now here's something cool. You run down the tank, there's no juice left, the coil will keep vaping at least another 10 or more puffs. So it's like a secret reservoir and in that sense it's true you don't get dry hits. Anyway so now vapour tasted fine by 4th tank and juice was no longer carrying previous taste. Kind of a dry vape though. I got cotton mouth like never before. Ok. So I decided I don't love it but if it's going to last me 3 to 5 weeks at least that's not bad. Except the 4th tankful mostly leaked out. I opened again and saw the orange O ring on the coil had gotten pinched and twisted. Hmm never had that before. So O ring teased back in place and a bit of plumbers' tape wrapped for good measure I take another look inside the coil, it's black as pitch. Baked on, no way this will rinse off or self clean. Tentatively I stuck a toothpick in and scratched and pulled a little cotton out. Charred up. Where did that come from? Some ceramic coils have an outer blanket of cotton to aid wicking, maybe this was it. Regardless, for anyone counting 5 myths or claims had been debunked and since I wasn't about to vape the carbonized coil I threw it away and can't comment on longevity beyond that. Went back to conventional kanthan and cotton. Bliss.
