Wattage vs voltage

Hi, I'm not entirely new to vaping but I have a few novice questions.

I have the innokin mvp 2, eleaf istick 30w and a smok xpro m65.

My question is how is it that I can turn my 11w mvp up to 5v and when vaping at 11w on my m65 I get 4.2v. This is on a nautilus aspire mini at 1.7ohms. To hit 5v on my x65 I need to run 14w, does this mean that my mvp is actually pushing 14w?

This is all just curiosity as I typically vape on a kangertech subtank at 30w with a . 5ohm coil

I've read it does push out more wattage, but honestly I don't think so. The MVPs chip will cut off at 5v or 11w whichever limit it hits first.

It may say it is running at 5v, but thatis just display. The chip is limited by current, so it will only really give the 5v when it can do so without running higher current than the chip is rated for

There is a wattage limit, a voltage limit and an amperage limit. The mod won't exceed any of them.

Yeah I have a 1.5 ohm Kayfun 4 on my Sigelei Mini right now, and at 15w its at 4.9v. No way my MVP2 hits like the Sig does, even if I maxed out the voltage. Those extra few watts I needed is why my MVP became a 'last resort' backup mod last November.

Sounds familiar. I run my kayfun at 16.5w. My mvp2 got demoted to backup status due to its power limit as well.
