i myself use 32,30,28 for my drippers and rta. from 1/16 to 1/8 sometimes. ohm ranges from .5- 1.5 respective of the mod and my vtc5. some times i twist also but no other type used yet.
I prefer 30g but I'll often use 28g as well. I don't trust people enough to sell lower than 28 in our retail shops so I haven't really foxed with anything lower...
Well we(me and Vapeman12) use 30ga Kanthal and 28ga Kanthal.... He was rebuilding my junk until the other day when I rebuilt on my own (well 99% of it was me cause he had to show me how to do it lol) I am doing mine at 1.1 and 1.2 I dont see in going lower right now lol
i use 28g kanthal primarilly- usually for multiple-coil builds, but do use 26g and 24g kanthal as well- usually for single coils.
i also use 26g and 24g nichrome, which takes a bit longer to heat up and stays hot after vaping longer, especially the 24g. i havent used it much due to the fact that cotton cant really keep up with these coil's demands / heat retention of the wire. these are the builds that i am switching over to cellucotton. so far my results with cellucotton in regular (1/16" iD) micro-coils has been outstanding- superb wicking and very little coil-gunking.
28 ga Kanthal and equivalent Ribbon Wire. going to try 30 and 26ga next. Going on 5 months analog free and about to do what I said I'd never do-get a mech. Build 1 to 1.8 ohm builds for my Seigeli 20 Watt
I've only used 30g but I'm looking forward to trying the 28g. I think it will make a big difference. I like to twist the 30g and that's what makes me think the 28 will actually get me to where I want to be. But I also have like 95 feet of the 30 so I'm not in a real big hurry to get another spool of kanthal just yet.
26 g is what I like best with my drippers right now but also use 28 g for my kayfun (which I don't use often enough) - from my very first experience with dripping I just knew I'd found the device that I was made for!! Love my drippers from building to vaping,
